So I used this guide http://androidcowboy.com/2013/07/installing-alternate-wallpaper-kindle-fire-hd/ and was able to get live wallpaper working but the app crashes and you have to click set very fast. It also only works with some live wallpapers and not others. Has anyone had any success making this work correctly or another method of making live wallpaper function correctly?
