Location icon always on

Hey guys I just flashed the June OTA and rooted and now the location icon is always on. I've gone thru recent location requests for apps and even tried turning location off completely but it's still on. Anybody else have this or am I the first?? Any help would be appreciated thanks. Oh almost forgot I have flashed exkm kernel from last month as the June update was pulled

Figured it out. It was something with flashing the OTA update. I wiped everything and flashed the full image and good to go

I've got the same issue but I'm completely stock. If I disable locations the icon disappears, otherwise it stays permanently. It's that how it's supposed to be now?

No it shouldn't be on all the time. Like I said when I wiped my phone and flashed the June image everything went back to the way it should have

Location icon always on? Is there a way to remove it? It's some app always requesting for location? Pixel 2XL.
