I didnt know anyone couldnt, but @dsa8310 is going to some pre-rooted versions a la 4.4.4 before we found out about the *# etc code.how is it possible that some can root their device and some cant. we are using the same SOM's right?
It's normally the Save-folder you need to delete to get IGO to restart. It is a MTCB. I have not tested to install a other navigation app, but IGO does not start.
The unit shows that bluetooth is on, but it does not find my phone, and my phone does not find miy HU.
Tested on mine and BT is working. What unit do you have (Eonon are sellers only, go to settings/about device and look at the 2 or 3 digit letter code near the MCU version to see what device you have.Installed on my Eonon GA2114 (RK3188, 800x480)
After data and cache wipe the first boot took a couple of minutes. After that it boots 3 times faster than 4.4
Factory settings password is unchanged.
Bluetooth not working (no device ID and PIN set by default. If typed these are erased at reboot. Doesn't see devices and is not seen by them. This is an issue I also had with certain 4.4 ROMs.
I ve managed to get another launcher to work - you need to set permissions as in the pic :For me everything works great. The HU seems faster and the sound is much better.
I only don't like the launcher. I like the KGL launcher more, but I am not able to install any other mtcb-App. Does anyone know, how it is possible?![]()

Klyde - KLD2.Tested on mine and BT is working. What unit do you have (Eonon are sellers only, go to settings/about device and look at the 2 or 3 digit letter code near the MCU version to see what device you have.
added instruction on how to fix igo , 2nd postIt's normally the Save-folder you need to delete to get IGO to restart.
of course you correct the permission in anything that goes in system.I ve managed to get another launcher to work - you need to set permissions as in the pic :

pretty sure this is what sorted it for me, cant be too certain as I did a lot of fiddling about to get it to work, but see how you get on.
I tried changing MTCmusic to several of the previously modified ones from 4.4.4 (setting permissions as above), some wouldnt start - I got the message "sorry music has stopped", one started but would hang when it was looking for music, I think we may need to start again with the MTC apps from L and modify them.
Yes I know you change the permissions but the permissions I gave it when I first tried did not work, this included granting permissions the same as the permissions the installed launcher came with and ticking all permissions boxes, these did not work, only granting permissions as in the photo I attached worked for the launcher.of course you correct the permission in anything that goes in system.
did u clear the mtc app data ?
I've got the same problem with BT, no audio all the rest worksInstalled the 800x480 file this morning - wiped/flashed/wiped again/long boot (dancing droids!) - booted up fine - so far two issues - bluetooth pairs fine with my phone (Samsung Galaxy S7), downloads contacts, seems good to go, but no audio when you try a phone call - call initiates on phone & on HU, but no audio at all - tried reflashing again, but same thing - also, it seems there is no Auto Day/Night function working - noticed on Waze that it started in Night mode - there is no longer an "Automatic" display setting - also, the text on the tuner seems way too big to fit properly - it's a new tuner layout, can't imagine this is how it was designed - all that being said, it does seem faster, the interface with settings seems more up to date - launcher is blah, I think the same one that is on th 4.4.2 units - all in all a good start - hope one of you fine geniuses can figure out the bluetooth thing -
look at my picture in post 2Which version of Kingroot use? With the 4.93 version does not appear the button Try root.

I guess Kingo SuperUser is v3.1 not King rootV 3.1... I find only V 4.5 to 4.9.3.
Bluetooth works ok for me.Bluetooth is a big drawback. Will wait to see if anything comes up.
