I'll wait before testing it on my Eanon ga2114. On 4.4 i didnt have call audio over bluetooth but i did have media audio. I had to swap front and rear inputs at the harness to get everything working due to the canbus adapter and factory amplifier in my jeep. Not sure if that helps you all or not.

I managed to install it on my ga2114 and all is working as it should with a standard setup.

Looking forward to this getting some more testing and hopefully a Malaysk version being released purely for the fact I should be able to use a marshmallow ROM with it and have Bluetooth connect properly. The current fix doesn't work with my phone so I'm stuck on 5.1.1 ROMs.

My antenna is playing up at the mo so havent tested the radio, cant see why theyd drop RDS, is it enabled in factory settings ?

Few more things changed:
- you can now add your own boot logo , in Factory settings
- radio has 30 presets than can be easily accessed in grid form
-you can now directly type a radio freq to go to a specific program
-to me sound is definitely better

Also for me now everything works fine. I installed all KGL apps (also the launcher) and everything is working. For those, who have bluetooth issues, I think, they can easaly install an older bluetooth app.
The only thing that for me don't works is the boot logo. I have choosen the VW logo, but there comes ever the dancing droids logo.

Have you tried changing the logo type ? - there are 3 options the one without the dancing droids changes the logo.

the Car DVD animation logoes do not get applied have tried many time but the logo does not stick.

EasyConnected issue :

Maybe it has something with the phone and not the head unit, went back to older editions , not fixed.

Note. This license file is copied to another device, where EasyConnect works. I can not guarantee that it will work in our State and any EC versions. But worth a try. Try these two versions .... especially the second.

downgraded to easy connected 4.1.8
searched my phone for Easy using luckypatched and removed the driver mode and easyconnected server and the its data
and reconnected the phone.. installed those apps againa and same problem , it can not download the certificate on the mobile...

I already copied the licence file anywhere I could think of in the head unit... so this time I decided the phone is the problem. and can not download certificate from the easyconnected server

so I copied the license to the folder

Root/data/data/net.eassyconnected server

pasted it in that folder and also all the subfolders as I dont know where the app looks for it

and viola the activation problem was fixed

phone connects and bluetooth turns on but I get blank screen


so I updated the easyconnected to 4.1.12
phone connected ... NEw Version of Easycoennected Server prompt... installed it ... Not sure if this was a good idea or not

and certificate problem was back up again
the certificate file was still there but I guess in the 4.1.12 version the old certificate is not working ..
we need a new certificate for the new Easyconnected server

Uninstalled the server from the phone and device

installed 4.1.10
connect and let it install the server
copied the license in phone Root/data/data/net.eassyconnected server
Certificate not found
copied the license in phone Root/data/data/net.eassyconnected server/files
certificate check failed again so here should be a working certificate...

now all over but with version 4.1.8 again
copied the license in phone Root/data/data/net.eassyconnected server/files
and certificate is fixed again



Bottom line anything passed 4.1.8 the easyconnecetd server that is included will need a new certificate that does not get downloaded

updated again to 4.1.12 but I did not get the prompt for the server update... and the certificate check fails again,,

so...... after 2 hours... Easyconnected does not work on my phone lol FUN!

Help Bluetooth app that works. Right now Bluetooth only works when on Bluetooth app itself does not switch or receive any calls outside the app. That's the only thing not working on my KGL. Love the boot time @15 sec but 1 app always optimizating.

I had the same issue and selected first boot animation in the manufacturer menu instead of Logo and DVD. And now I have my Ford logo

Actually I was asking the question as I was not enable to do more test. I have tested in my way back to Home I can say that the radio app is way more better than the previous one (more station can be stored; big buttons, you have button to switch betewen stored stations and button to switch frenquencies, and the design is nice I would just prefer it to be in red to stay consistent with the rest of the apps). I can confirm now the RDS is still there!

The boot time is 7 seconds quicker with some apps installed. But I noticed some lags when navigating in the setting (in the language input and voice recognition) but still better than 4.4.4 I love the keyboard.

Hope they give update soon to improve it. but it's still usuable a faster than the 4.4.4 from what i tested

just got my head unit in the mail yesterday from ebay, was listed as 5.1.1 quad core and 1026x600. It ended up being a mtcb-kld6 with 5.1.1 with a build date about a month earlier than this one. Updating to this fixed my issue with torque seeing the bluetooth status switch off and on and the launcher on the old build was atrocious compared to this one. easyconnect worked before on the old build and still works now. Thanks for the update!
