Hey @kulvertti do you also get an NFC icon on the top right with your TW version?

I just flashed my selfmade "Customized UK" prerooted flashable. Never had an NFC icon in any version before.

Yep it is there. But if you don´t like it you can remove it by editing "config.prop" -file in /system/etc/customization/settings -folder. Just chance "ro.nfc.icon.enable=true" to "ro.nfc.icon.enable=false" and reboot your device and NFC icon is gone.

There is enough room up there.

Just flashed it dirty over rooted 4.4.4. Works great! Very smooth. Couple things though,

Seems like I can't write to SD card either as I have Titanium Backup with the folder location on the SD card and now it can't backup to there. I'm sure SDFix app will solve but as someone already asked, isn't this supposed to work natively in LP?

Also, the lock screen on 4.4.4 used to show the pin pad immediately for unlocking, now with LP, it shows the clock and I have to swipe to get the pin pad. Anyway to get it to go directly to pin pad again?

In the SuperSU settings untick "mount namespace separation" and reboot. Titanium should work again.

Thanks for the quick reply, did exactly as instructed but didn't change anything after reboot. Still getting error with TB.
Move Titanium´s root acces from SuperSu, Clear Titanium cache and data, reboot, install Titanium again and give it root acces with SuperSu.

I must say: With this firmware, the tablet is finally (after over one year!) running like it should have been from the beginning.
Especially regarding touch response and lag (or lack of lag :) ).
And while on my Nexus devices battery life is somewhat worse than under Kitkat, this is finally a FW which delivers on Google's promise that Lollipop brings increased battery life!
Good work, Sony, but next time, please not 1 year again, OK?

First of all, thanks a lot for this pre-rooted Lollipop FW - installation was easy and straight forward.
Unfortunately i wasn't too happy with it on my SGP511 and am not sure if the following problems have their root in the original Sony Firmware or in the modifications that were made to it:

1. i experienced nasty issues with graphics flickering (certain parts of the screen) when ..
  • installing an app from google play
  • sporadically when browsing through my threema contacts.
i'm pretty sure that there would've been other scenarios where this issue would show up, but i only tested the whole thing for merely 6-7 hours until i realized it's not worth it.

2. wifi connection would simply break up and come back continuously when being in places where signal strength is not the best, but with KK still sufficient for a stable, but slower connection.
this was really driving me nuts and is unbearable.

3. i have bluetooth speakers or A/V Receivers in multiple rooms and with KitKat i have been able to control their loudness via the hardware volume switch. With this lollipop release it's only working with 2 out of 4 devices.

i installed the whole thing twice to make sure nothing went accidentally wrong in the first place - i always made a factory reset with TWRP before flashing. i even wiped the DATA partition on the 2nd tryout...

i'm really wondering why nobody else seems to encounter any of these problems ?!

I couldn't agree more. I am not sure there is a current tablet that I would prefer yet.

Thanks, anytime. Very sorry you have these issues. However I don´t have none of them.
