I'm using a T mobile Galaxy S8+ right now and im willing to try this if it gets me to Oreo. My firmware is already AQGL so what can I do to get Oreo? Can i just download the file you attached and put it on my SD card, and flash through recovery and hope that it works? Thank you!

adb sideloading GL right now and going to sideload JJ right after. Will report back in about an hour or so. Gonna test drive for a bit. Thanks norbarb
(adb sideload takes a while for it to update so ill be back maybe longer than an hour)

Can someone post step by step instructions on how to do this?
have minimal adb installed on your computer, have the latest samsung drivers instaled, get into stock recovery, when phone is off by holding bixby button, volume up button, and power button. when bootloader screen comes on i hold it for a second or 2 then release. go into update from adb. then click on the minimal adb after youve installed it and type in adb sideload and drag and drop the update file into the terminal and press enter and be patient.

Do you have to be on AQGL first? I wonder if it will work with AQH3 because that's what I'm on? Can someone link me to the AQGL baseband please? How do you do the update from sd card option?

Worked perfectly for me. Just put the .zip update file on my SD card. Did "apply update from SD" and after ~10-20 mins I was running Oreo with all of the AT&T features built in! Thank you !

Has anyone tried to update from sd, if so how did you do it?
Yep thats how I did it. Just put the .zip file on your phones SD card (I just dropped it in the root directory). Then boot your S8+ into recovery mode. Press and hold the Bixby and volume up buttons, then press the power button. Let go of the power once the phone turns on, while still keeping the Bixby and volume up buttons pressed. Let go of the rest of the buttons when you see the blue screen with the Android logo. You will get a message about no update found or something like that but after a few more seconds you will get a black screen with options. Use vol up and down to move your selection. Highlight the apply update from SD option and press the power button. Then if you put the zip file in the root you should see it right there. Highlight it and hit power button. Now just be patient. The update is now installing. Mine took at least a good 10 mins and it can stay at one section for several mins but just leave it. It will finish. The phone will then reboot when its done. The first boot will be much longer than normal, but only the first time. That's it your done!

You can't be root. Need to uproot first.

Updated ok, but I'm probably going to go back to 7.0. Play Services is annihilating my battery, and some of my apps have new bugs.
