I really like Lookout Security, even though it's virus scanner isn't the best. It offers some great features.
Google made something similar as well.
these applications will not help if the device is stolen, only if it is lost.

applications help only if the offender is stupid. :laugh:
all security apps have one thing in common, they are stopping with just a few clicks, or simply uninstall. also a password in the app does not help, or if your device is protected by a password the thief makes a factory reset.
with hardware reset, the device brings you back to the original state. so all security apps and passwords are deleted.
if the thief is stupid on device.probably,he only steals your device(nothing else).So these tracking apps is useful for you.
but if the thief is genius or professional on device.(I think)First he shutdowns your device by removing the battery and that's all.No tracking app work for you.Logic!
although you can try NQ security app.It works for me,also its an good antivirus too.
