Lost WIFI after CWRecovery

I usually dont start new posts, i try to post in the OP's thread and search but beings Fascinate is new their isnt much help or info to search for

i flashed CWR Using ODIN 2 days ago and ever since i dont have WIFI. when i turn it on it says scanning and then comes up with a message saying Unable to Scan For WIFI and then it Turns Wifi Off before i can even attempt to manually enter my SSID and WEP key


i know in the Early days back on the G1 you would always have to run Fix_permissions which i have tried and sometimes manually run command prompt to get stuff like this back working again but im not sure what to do

Update still dont have wifi, but wifi tether works

I know this is an older thread, but I recently had this issue randomly happen to me and found an answer in another xda forum and figured I'd share what I found:

Just thought i'd say thank you for this post. Suddenly my wifi stopped working and was telling me it was unable to scan, and I was trying to figure out what the hell was going on because I hadn't flashed anything recently... Then I just happened to come across this post. I deleted that file in /data/wifi and rebooted, and suddenly it worked again. You just saved me a lot of time.. my next step was to re-flash the dl09 radio because I had tried various other possible solutions with not luck, and had ran out of ideas. Then I came here not even looking for a solution, just looking for anything new that might've popped up, and saw this.

So, in summary of this unnecessarily long post...
