Hi,

I'm using ARHD 6.1.0 (Sensation). Since I'm forced to use the Lotus notes :( I want to use the Lotus Notes Traveler client.

I used it on my stock version without any trouble, then I moved to ARHD, tried also InsertCoin and the LNT stopped working, installation is done correctly, but then application is crashes.

I'm really sure that the issue is in the rom. I don't want to move to other ROM's.

Does anyone have experience with LNT on ARHD / InsertCoin?

Thanks
R.

I found the native exchange client syncs perfectly with Lotus Traveler 8.5.3.0 so you dont need the Traveler app, which is craptacular anyway!

You just put in the URL as "travelerserverurl.com/servlet/traveler"

Calendar and mail work great!

That's cool, but I'm L.O.S.T  ... can you put some screenshots, or real examples?

Thanks a lot

Traveler not compatible with ICS

Hey there,

To reply to your first question, it's linked to Android 4.0, apparently the latest traveler isn't compatible with it,

I've checked with our server admin and they need to install the following patch

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529

This patch also resolved iOS5 issues (this argument ay help to speed them up a bit)

Grtz,

Tom

Very easy.

Go to Account & Sync and choose Exchange ActiveSync.

Select Manual.

Enter your email address.

Under Server address it is your Traveler server URL with /servlet/traveler at the end i.e. traveler.com.au/servlet/traveler

Leave Domain blank

Username is your full email address

Enter password.

Select SSL if your traveler server uses it.

The rest should just work now as the only difference is the /servlet/traveler and you must use your full email address as the username

Actually ICS native mail app does sync with a Traveler server but there is no text in the body of the email for some reason:(

You're welcome! I was really happy to find out with worked. Seems like HTC is the only Android vendor that seems to care about making it compatible.

Hi - have you found any way round the missing body text? I have tried this on Domino 8.5.3 & Domino 9 but in both cases when replying to an email or forwarding an email from the phone, the original body text is missing.

Any clues?

Kind regards

No, I have the same issue. I use Touchdown from Nitrodesk now.
I also am having the same issue. We are using Lotus traveler 8.5.3. On the phone we were using Touchdown and it would not show the body of forward or reply emails. We have removed touchdown and using native client still having same issue. Please let me know if you guys have found a fix for this issue. Thanks.

So I tried using a domain.com/servlet/traveler as the URL and I get an error:

Couldn't Finish!

You don't have permission to sync with this server. Contact your server's administrator for more information.
I can sync however using the normal URL via the IBM traveler NOtes app for android but I would much rather be using the native email app instead! Has anyone else ever had this happen? I am not too sure what to say to our Lotus sysadmin, I am almost certain their response would be something along the lines of blah blah buy an iPhone blah blah or tell me that only the official IBM app is allowed.

UPDATE:

Interestingly enough the Android Device ID that is sent when setting up an email account sync using the native email apk is not the same ID as is sent when using the official IBM Traveler's app. I was able to talk to our sysadmin and get both ID's approved and have been able to sync email perfectly using the native client. Some oddities I have noticed however is that the calendar is very touch and go, usually only syncs or displays when I have LTE or wifi, and also the contacts do not sync however I can find them if I search for them in the people app, the directory itself is accessible. I really lik ethis solution. It allows me to have all the lotus stuff available from my phone but yet it doesn't sync it with my google account, really nice.
