Guys, In this post I am discussing certain important issues of our T2 Ultra and the ways to work around those issues.

After updating to Kitkat firmware, the ability for third party apps to write to our External SD cards was lost, like not able to download movies through torrents directly to our External SD card.

Secondly, the Move to SD card option made availaible by Sony is nothing similar to what we all think. It DOES NOT transfer major portion of the data to our External SD cards, rather a tiny fragment, which is safe to say, is not like moving it anywhere at all.

Thirdly, the RAM, as specified in numerous reviews and websites, our phone DOES NOT have 1GB RAM. It has 856MB to be exact. Thats an entire 140+ MB less. This has its effects on multi tasking, as u might have observed, while returning to the home screen after using some apps, it takes time for the screen to load apps onto it.

All these are serious problems, considering we paid a decent price for this phone and didnt get what we exactly needed.

Luckily, there is a work around.
First thing, u have to ROOT your phone. If u just search around the this forum, ul find plenty ways to do it.

To solve the problem of not being able to write to External SD cards in-app, u have to download 'Nextapp sdfix' from google playstore. Once downloaded, u can follow the instructions and the issue gets resolved. Its 100% working.

Now to solve the issue of moving apps to External SD card, u have to download 'Folder Mount' app from playstore. Once done, u can easily mount the folders of ur heavy apps like games onto ur External SD card, and it clears space on your Internal SD card. It works very well.

Lastly, to solve the RAM issue, ofcourse we cant increase the RAM by any way but we can smartly clear off the unwanted apps running in the background and gain most of the RAM.
'Fast Reboot' app does just that! Small app with big function, just download it from the playstore, it will put a green icon on ur homescreen, and all u have to do is to just click on it! Simple. It clears out all the RAM and u can directly notice the difference! It gives me 300+ RAM free everytime after using it.

Thats it guys, all your RAM and Internal memory storage problems should get resolved by this.

Hit thanks if helped. :)

thanks!!

All good to know.

Even though I installed an external micro sd card, I am unable to install the new apps you specify.
1 I guess I have to uninstall some apps, to make room
2 Install the apps you specify
3 Move some apps out to the sd card
4 reinstall the apps I deleted

I guess I will figure it out:confused:
but thanks again for the good information:good:
