Hi everyone,

I bought the P10 last week and the (ROG) low resolution power saving does not work for me.
I checked my resolution with several apps with the setting turned on; they show 1080p resolution. Also i don't notice any visual differences, and when i turn the setting off and then on again, it doesn't require any loading time to apply the setting, whereas in the P9 it takes approximately 10 seconds to do so.

Thank tou for your time

I have the same issue on the P10 Plus and wanted to drop the resolution down to 1080p and save battery.

I think it's an EMUI 5 issue as you were able to reduce the resolution on EMUI 4.x but not on here which is disappointing. No one has a definitive answer. I even contacted Huawei for an explanation and they said they weren't aware of such an issue and I was the first person to bring it up!

Not much I can add to your post I'm afraid.....

It is working, well at least on my device. But it's true that u must stare carefully to tell the difference, at the smoothness of the font or somewhere else. And yes its been switched on and off immediately, without no second

How do you know for real? YouTube still shows 1080p, I want to reduce the resolution so I can have better fps in Galaxy on Fire 3 and Injustice 2,

Thanks,

Thanks,

Cuz I know the difference when I see it. The thing is, it doesn't change the resolution on system level, but in certain apps, wechat for example. And I haven't found any access to choose which app should be res-reduced for so far.

Sorry I haven't noticed one thing: mine is p10plus and it has 2k res, which obviously get reduced in apps like wechat. But it doesn't necessarily means anything for p10.
