I been testing a ton of resolutions and dpi combos to get a proper aspect ratio with 0 black bars and 0 notch black bar , if others want to turn their Phone into a beast for gaming these are the resolution and dpi commands.... adb shell wm size 720x1500 .... adb shell wm density 290 . For it to work enable USB Debbuging (Security Settings) as well in developer options., Some custom kernels doesn't work well with the lower resolution so if you see weird stuff happening use stock kernel. (if you see the text becoming blurry then going back to normal every 2 seconds , go into Developer Options and find Smallest width .. use 397 there and the blurriness should stop). You are welcome ;) now go play anything you want on ultra settings without a stutter ! Your phone just transformed into Pocophone F2 performance wise
On which rom you tried this?

Works perfectly on Stock MIUI 11 EU rom with stock kernel. You are welcome ;) now go play anything you want on ultra settings without a stutter ! Use a clean stock and kernel rom, for me the performance is better , phone doesnt heat anymore even when charging while playing , plus the phone charges fast awhile playing because cpu and gpu dont stress like with stock resolution

I'll try density, But.
Reloaded OS + D8G kernel , are perfect for gaming.
I limit all CPU to 1.7ghz and overclock GPU to 800mhz,
D8G kernel comes with an app to configure frecuncies and charge speed. So I select gaming charge, to slow charge.
Result is very fluid CODM even in battle royale, and a cold phone.

Kernel is here: https://github.com/diphons/D8G_Kernel/releases/tag/3.3

With other kernel or other ROMs the phone overheats and CPU throttle , makes the game lag.

Redmi Note 8 question

The Poco an Redmi Note 8 have the same stock Resolution, cannot find good information about my device, that's why I'm asking here.
Will this resolution work with the Note 8, too?
I am not so interested in more performance (although it would not be bad) , but will it also save a battery power?
Do I have to reapply settings after restarting the phone or after system updates?
Instead of the ADB commands, the ADB Fastools for xiaomi offer screen resolution change and should work, too.. Or am I wrong?
Sorry for so many questions, I only have experience with Samsung and I read, that some xiaomi Devices had a bootloop after changing the resolution.

Greetings
