Lowering screen brightness

I'm on a stock kernel. I want to lower my screen brightness below minimum that's offered by stock kernel. I know the name of the feature used in custom kernel is backlight dimmer. I don't want to use a custom kernel because for me stock kernel is far superior than any custom kernel. I'm rooted. Is it possible by magisk module or terminal
