Messed up big time!

Unzipped the zip file and installed the boot.img instead of the zip file.

Now I can't even load TWRP, as VOL UP+Power goes straight to boot into Android.

Once there, I have about a minute before it shuts down and I have no access to developer options/factory reset.

eRecovery doesn't work either as the package is invalid and when I try to use a command line to run ADB and go into fastboot, it says I'm unauthorised. Happy Birthday.

PLEASE HELP!

Why did you install the boot image?

Stock Boot or the modyfied from Franzroy?

After installing the boot img, the Supersu 2.82 must be flashed, no matter what boot img!

Boot in Erecovery and shotdown.
After shotdown press and hold Volume up and Power Button and boot into Twrp

Just flashed back to a stock B320 ROM but missing the debloat and smaller icons.

You can give it a try
Since it's supposed to do a better job with safetynet

Installing Magisk means rooting
The only 2 root methods I know is magisk and superSu
Also magisk have modules like Xposed.
But i think it's not superSu compatible
You need do unroot and delete super su and then install magisk

Thanks for a great ROM, phone is awesome now!
I'm in northern Sweden, and the missing 4G band for Telia turns out to be a complete non-issue.
I still have 4G in cities and the 3G speeds are impressive.

I do have the strange echo in speaker mode, on the callers side only - effectively making speaker mode unusable!
The sound on my side is fine in all modes: handset, headset, BT headset and speaker mode.
Any idea what the frick is going on here? My Mate 7 did not have this issue...

SOLVED:
I used a bumper style case that covered the noise canceling microphone, it's the tiny hole above the SIM-card slot.
Drilled a 3mm hole in the case, problem solved.

It's the first time for me in this forum.
First of all I want to thank you for your great job with HN8.

I used your V. 1.0 ROM from the beginning
Now obviously I tried 2.0.
Unfortunately it doesn't work properly for me as the 1.0!

1. No Ad-block;
2. No Whatsapp;

And, if I install this apps from Play Store, I can't transform them into system apk
I tried several times to flash 2.0 following istructions in first post, but with same results.

Am I doing something wrong?
Any suggestion?

Hi,yes,i forgot Whatsapp put into System and Adblock.
With the Stock Boot.img does not work.
I write Franzroy from the Mate 8 Forum.He make a Insecure Boot.img for us.

Whatsapp install and make a Widget on the Homescreen this works with Notification.(Pic in Attachment)
I add the apk file for adblock in Attachment.

With the Insecure Boot.img from Franzroy works the Whatsapp in System/app Folder
Download the Franzroy Boot.img and flash in TWRP with Image flash.
After flash the Boot.img install Supersu 2.82 for Emui 5 and reboot.

hi, i installed rom but it looks like i have clean stock, no google app, and all my Huawei apps, i only have root. No whatsupp but I already know why. Powerful system writes that unauthorized modifications have been made to the system and that it needs to be reinstalled. What am I doing wrong?

Did you make a factory reset before you installed the Rom?

I wipe everything,Cache,Dalvik Cache,System,Data
Install the Rom.
Flash the Insecure Boot.img in Twrp via image flash,use Boot for Boot.img.or copy the Boot.img in your Fastboot/ADB Folder and flash via fastboot in Bootloader:fastboot flash boot Boot_Insecure_B353_Fix-adb_dm-verity-v3.img
Flash Supersu and reboot.
The Phone boot 2 times,this is normal.

The purpose is to make it easier to root
With the Stock Boot.img root does not work 100% you can delete Apps from System Folder but not copy in System.

For this notification unauthorized modifications in System,is there a solution go to system/app/HwOUC you see the HwOUC.apk.Rename to HwOUC.apk.bak and reboot,the message no longer comes.
For later you will see for an Ota Update rename back to original HwOUC.apk and reboot.
I had this already I believe that is a new Huawei measure to prevent root or system changes

But it has an advantage you can easily get to B353 Stockrom.
Flash Stock Recovery and let the procedure expire,i test it and works.

Everything is already sue and nicely installed but something too much cut out of the image because it does not work for me in settings / battery / color palette and this is for me basic setting

Hello I have tryed to install this ROM but I always have the same official rome installed as before..

I have:
- B353 offical stock rom
- UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER
- installed twrp-3.1.1-1-HN8.img
-
then ...
1. wipe cache and dalvik
2. installing LRS v2.0 Honor Note 8 B353
and wheen I reboot I always have the some official B353 rom with all Huawei APPS in it
I don't know what I am doing wrong? Can you please help me..

I kind of solved the problem ...
For me the right order was:
1. install Boot_Insecure_B353_Fix-adb_dm-verity-v3.img
2. format all
3. installing LRS v2.0 Honor Note 8 B353


i have also installed Xposed framework ..
