I tried LRS v.2.0, then installed by stock recovery (erecovery downloaded it) B353 stock that also was not approved.
Now I'm back to LRS v1.0 (B350), best for me.

Maybe the GREAT letschky could take a look to B356.

Morning, just got one last week and its currently running the Google Integration ROM but its got a few niggles I would like to iron out

I'm going to try LRS v1.0 (B350)

Can anyone advise me if the notification light is working on this ROM & does it allow you to record conversations from the phone dialer screen

Notification light works.

For recording conversation I can say that the icon is present but I don't know if it works. Not tried.

Morning, loaded the B353 version last night and quite impressed how well it works for me

Only issue is that I have a warning saying the 'unauthorised changes have been made to pre installed apps / system files' its asking me to restore and to download the following file OTA-EDI-ALI10233B353-full

I can just click Remind Later and bypass but its bugging me, I did try and download and update but got a error when trying to install

Any ideas

Look at post 54 by letschky, 2nd last paragraph the answer is there.

"For this notification unauthorized modifications in System,is there a solution go to system/app/HwOUC you see the HwOUC.apk.Rename to HwOUC.apk.bak and reboot,the message no longer comes.
For later you will see for an Ota Update rename back to original HwOUC.apk and reboot.
I had this already I believe that is a new Huawei measure to prevent root or system changes"

Hi! I followed the instructions

Phone was at OEM 252.

1. ADB loaded TWRP
2. Unlocked bootloader
3. From TWRP wipe all partitions as instructed
4. Install un secure boot file to the boot partition
5. Installed B353_Letschky ROM
6. Installed super su 2.82
7. rebooted and initial setup.

PHone looks good, except I have no google apps and still have alot of Chinese apps.

How do I get google apps?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found your new thread for new ROM B356. Installed it and looks good so far. Goggle apps showed up.

I'm trying to install B_356_Letschky, the 356 ROM, but it's not taking. My phone is unlocked, rooted, xposed installed, and twrp installed.

I followed the instructions and in recovery did a full data wipe, flashed boot insecure b356 fix, installed rom, and then supersu. When it reboots, it's just normal fully stock chinese ROM, no gapps. I did the same but flashed the boot insecure package after installing the rom with the same result.

What step am I missing?

In my attempt to get it working, I've made it worse. While installing the ROM, I noticed that it said this:
-B356 ROM successful installed
script succeeded: result was [
E:unknown command []]
Updating partition details...

The unknown command part was in red, as if it was an error. Nevertheless, it didn't work after trying many times (didn't work = didn't flash the ROM, it was all just stock Chinese ROM). So when you (and others) talked about "formatting" and "deleting all data", I thought maybe you meant the "Format Data" option in TWRP, so I did that. I might have also been that under "wipe", I selected everything: Dalvik / ART Cache, Cache, Data, Internal Storage, System, and Vendor. Then I flashed it. I guess that was stupid....

Now it won't even boot. After the "honor" boot screen, I get a message saying:
Encryption unsuccessful
Encryption was interrupted and can't complete. As a result, the data on your phone is no longer accessible.

There's a long paragraph more after it, but basically it tells me to do a factory reset, and then has a button that says "reset phone" under it. When I press it, it just boot into TWRP.

When I try to install the ROM again, it says the same "E:unknown" error, and then after the "Updating partition details..." it also says:
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid arguement)
...done

I reboot... and same "Encryption unsuccessful" message. I even restored a previous backup I had of the stock system before I started doing all this flashing, and that didn't work either, I still get the "Encryption unsuccessful" message after rebooting. Did I just brick my phone? Please help.

Did you get this fixed? I was wondering when you got booted back into TWRP did you try to do WIPE --> Swipe to Factory Reset ?

Yep, the super dev letschky saved me,ha. Factory resets didn't work, but fortunately erecovery had a 'fix partition' option (without evening have to download a the stock ROM).

Glad to hear it! I went ahead and put this ROM on my device. Funny, like your first experience, it seems to still be "stock" with chinese apps and no Google apps. Strange. I also got the E: volume error too.

Do you have the steps to fix that? I would appreciate your assist.

Right now I was able to add Google apps on my own and though MAGISK was said to install, it looks like I had to add SU on my own too. I'm going to use Nova launcher. Are you saying that you can't use other launchers and stuck with Google?

According to Letschky, you can just ignore that error message.
To get it working, make sure you use the Format Data (right most button), where you have to type "yes", and ALSO do the left button format (wipe? i forgot what it says), and select all the options except vendor and micro sdcard. After that, just flash the ROM and it should work.

One thing that confused the hell out of me was that a link was wrong. The link to LSR Rom B356 v2.5.0 had pointed to a ROM that actually had ALL the chinese apps + gapps. So everytime I installed it, I saw all the chinese apps, and i thought it wasn't working. After contacting Letschky, he fixed it, so now it points to the right one. Maybe you should download it again, the new one is only 1.4 GB or so (the Chinese apps + gapps is 2.4 gb or so).

But even when installing the Chinese Apps + Gapps 2.4gb one, one thing that I didn't realize, which had confused me as well, is that the gapps weren't anywhere on screen or obviously accessible after installing. To find them, I had to open one of those app folder things, click +, and then scroll through all available apps, and I saw some google apps listed there to add to the homescreen. Without doing that though, I would have never noticed gapps were installed.
