Hi guys currently running B356, all i did was to simply flash the 3.1.1 twrp and then the B356 zip, but I am wondering what Boot_Insecure_B356_Fix-adb_dm-verity.img is and why it should be flashed because everything seems fine on my honor note 8 since i flashed the rom

I unlocked the bootloader on my phone and installed twrp according to this description:

Later in twrp, I wipe everything except the SD card. Later I installed your ROM but I think the phone did not reset twice. The system has started, but I do not see google app (play store and others). I installed a google store with HiApp. I installed Root Checker and says I do not have root. I do not see AdAway either. What could have gone wrong?
EDIT: After that i installed SuperSu from you link in first post (by twrp). Then I installed AdAway app. Now I have root and add blocker. I must install gmail and few other applications and I'm happy. My phone still works
I think if all works good I will wait for You now version of You ROM.
p.s. After all, I'm curious what went wrong with installation ?

Everything worked normally for me,installation works,but root had an issue in Updater Script,but flash supersu again and all works
Our phone is unique but there is not much support, like Xiaomi Mi Max for example. Therefore, all the more thanks for your work

This is a great ROM as it improved the functionality of this device than when I had just the stock image. (Forgot what you mentioned on getting rid of that message about your device is no longer secure).
Would you be interested in making a ROM with no EMUI?
I have seen that after some reboots settings that I set change on their own (especially ROOT related modifications).
Will you be interested on getting this device up to Android 8 (Oreo)?

Have finally download the ROM and everything works as should except for Magazine Unlock. I have selected Magazine Unlock for lockscreen but except for one default wallpaper, am unable to add any. Have only Pause symbol in the lockscreen with all the other icons greyed out. Have tried applying different themes but no go. Earlier, I just use to select the wallpaper folder and it used to work.
Can anyone pls help out? Also, any alternatives (Earlier, tried many but this was the Best of the lot)

Download the magazine.zip and extract it.
Copy the magazine folder in :data\hw_init\version\region_comm\china\screenlock
and give Permissions with root explorer for Folder rwx-r-rwx and for the Pics and the other files in this Folder rw-r--r--
and reboot
