Your welcome. Hope it is as easy this time for you as it was for me.

Best of luck to ya' ! ! ! :good::)
Worked!

Redownloaded the op's script to my D drive, extracted all the files and ran the .bat file. Failed first time and I think it was because on the reboot forced by the script the phone took too long and didn't get into download mode. Second try I just manually rebooted to download mode and submit installed and done.

Curiously, when I used root checker to verify it said root not properly installed. So I ran rootchecker again, granted so, and rootchecker said root installed properly.

Thanks, again for your help.

Now on to see if tweaks on works on lollipop...

Excellent !

Regarding lollipop - I did this the first time out on my Lollipop 5.0.1 and it had ZERO issues except for the exact one you mentioned regarding taking too long booting into download mode and needing to do it manually.

Thanks l33tlinuxh4x0r ! ! !

Huh, I dl'd TWRP Manager from play store, but when I open it, I can't get past the screen that says this app needs root permissions.

Root checker says the device is rooted and supers is installed.

Not sure how to proceed...

Edit: So, got TWRP downloaded, opened, and granted root permission via supersu.

Now, once in, I selected backup from menu, chose options, and booted into recovery, and selected reboot now there. Not sure that backup was made because clicking on restore doesn't list anything.

More importantly, my TWRP screen doesn't have the buttons as I see in other images. There is an install TWRP menu option, but when I click it, it's asking for recovery version to install and I don't understand.

If I install a recovery version, what am I really doing?

Still working great on ZVG
Thanks
How? I get stuck on Looking for LG Serial port While in download mode despite it showing up in device manager.

EDIT: Finally was able to get it. The script is a little strange if you don't let it reboot into the OS despite having to manually boot into Download mode. You have to let it fully boot before it realizes it cant boot itself into download mode.

And that's why 1-clicks suck ;)

So much easier and better if you do all the steps yourself

Just wanted to quickly post and confirm that this has just successfully rooted my Boost LGLS990 on ZVG firmware.
Couple notes...whenever it tries to reboot, be sure hold vol+ and power as soon as the screen turns off to make sure it goes straight into download mode.
Make sure it's using COM port 41. If it doesn't initially detect the device, unplug and replug the USB cable.

It's little tricky but works, Just be sure on Debug the only 2 options with the check mark are Stay awake and USB debugging. It takes me HOURS to see there its a Protection Checkmark for ADB/SHELL/FASTBOOT (Verify apps over USB - Check apps installed via ADB/ADT for harmful behavior.) if its marked no way you Root it. Uncheck it and continue as Instructions Says! I'm on ZVG and after removed the damn Verify apps over USB Works Perfectly!!! Until now this is the only Working Root for LG G3 LS990 on ZVG of course need DIAG ##3424# Enabled and Charge Mode Only.

I've been searching for a straightforward tutorial/instruction on rooting the LS990 ZVI, but no joy.

I was wondering if anyone has been successful with a particular tool or at least a straightforward downgrade.

Thanks in advance!
Anyone know if this will work on ZVI ? I bought one from ebay and it came with ZVI . Any known method for root and twrp ? Thanks
