Lumia 800 7.8 update warning- brings volume restriction!

I have no problem at all with the headphone volume on my dutch Nokia Lumia 800 with 7.8 (7.10.8858.136).

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!

I updated my Lumia 800 using the Cab trick documented in this thread. This allowed me to install the 7.8 OS update from Microsoft, without the Nokia OEM update which includes the volume limiter.

So now I have 7.8, but I still have full audio volume.

I just pressed the VOL UP button and it was OK.

Just got back to 7.5 and then updated to 7.8 with seveneighter yesterday.
Volume restriction is no more \o/
Also I was able to install Ringtone Maker... curiously ppl who updated "normally" nseems to get an "unsupported device" error
And the OS seems to be faster, too

but the Zune-based update isn't coming with BS neither RM...

Same here, i can flip up to 30, everything sounds ok without headset but when it's plugged in, i can't hear a damn word. Lol on this ****.

So there IS a problem!

Ever since I've updated to 7.8 I've found the volume to be very quiet.

Temporary fix for me has been listening to music and while the music is playing and my headphones plugged in, texting myself and immediately turning the screen off by pushing the power button.

When the notification of a new text plays, it plays at normal volume and it works like normal for a while.

Pretty stupid limit though, I hope this is fixed!

How to downgrade from 7.8. My current version of phone is 7.10.8862.144. I do have problem with audio. Its not increasing beyond 13

I downloaded the stock 7.5 fw from Navifirm, and archived it for a possible later use.
Then recovered 7.5 with Nokia Care Suite. (idk if PST is totally blocked but you may get a workaround online so it works again, at least for flashing)
And so updated with seveneighter.
