I think I'm in the same boat - HiSuite just errors for me, I assume because it detects that I'm running an incompatible version

Erroring means no connection.-or Hisuite version too old for emui10.
You previously set up a custom hosts, custom DNS or hisuite's proxy settings...

Running latest version of HiSuite and no host file or DNS changes. I think it's because I have a L29 version of Android 10 on my device rather than L09. Is there a way of rebranding back to L09-C432 (or is that what this post will do?)

You could use right dload package for your model (L09) and your device's vendorcountry's region (Cxxx yyy/zzz).

Forcing online approved hicloud's emui10 L09 cust & preload packages would also do just fine without a reset.

Can you elaborate on how to force approved hicloud packages?
I'm kind of on the same boat with mismatched cust/preload.

plz help !! bricked LYA L09 after update via hisuite

Update your cust&preload to v10, that will fix your emui10 softbrick.
If no correct dload cust&preload packages available yet for your region, a temporary fix is to use wrong region dload cust&preload renamed right for your device's vendorcountry.

i have same issue update mine lya l09 from ( 9.1.0358 c432 ) via hisuite to emui 10 after that i get " your device has loaded a different operating system "

OK, so I have the correct phone model with the correct version installed and I followed the instructions on here to the letter, the phone updated as was shown on the phone screen then it rebooted.
I know have a message 'Your device has loaded a different operating system.'
There is an URL link but when typing this into a browser it go nowhere.
Pressing the volume + (up) key for 3 seconds brings up the eRecovery screen but no options work, even the wireless option to retrieve package information fails, factory reset produces the same screen, my PC does not recognise a device is connected.
So I have now got a bricked phone. :crying:
How do I recover back to a working device (I did a full backup in HiSuite before attempting this upgrade)

It's likely a carrier branded phone like mine. Same issue. Cannot get a 10.1 update the normal ways.
Mine is LYA-L09 running 10.0.0.231 (C34E8R1P5) which is an Optus Australia version.

MY LYA-L29 can't get 10.1 upgrade also ( SIM card belong to Taiwan). as far as i know, if SIM card belong to Japan or other Asia country it may work.
