Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. I was trying to hold out until the new TWRP dropped last night, but obviously there is a delay.Try unchecking twrp mode, I have it unchecked and it sees my backup files
Files do not disappear by their ownThere was a problem reported with CWM back on the OG EVO, so I used AmonRa. Then with the Jewel, I used TWRP, so honestly, I'm unfamiliar with this recovery.
However, I made a backup of Steal's stock ROM on my external sd card, and the recovery said it was successful.
But, after I couldn't get past the splash screen on their new build, I tried to restore from my external sd card, and it claimed there were no files found. So, I tried internal, just to see if I'm senile, and no files found.
I did click the option for TWRP style or whatever, but shouldn't it still find it?
Anyway, I'm glad I kept those files handy so I could do a fresh install of the original release.
I get this error as well. I am dev unlocked only so far. With adb, my laptop does see my device. How did you solve this? You can PM me to keep the thread cleaner if you like. Thanks for any help.i get this error no matter what recovery i try to flash
C:\android-sdk\platform-tools>fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.0-

I used flashify from the play store and got philz flashed. Does anyone know how to fix the error I had? I searched around but didn't see the exact same one
No, you can't restore a backup made with a different recovery.Does this has twrp restores working
Sent from my 831C using XDA Premium HD app
But it's listed as one of the features of this recoveryNo, you can't restore a backup made with a different recovery.
TWRP backup and restore support, include full md5 sum support (single and multivolume, compressed and non compressed formats)
That's what I get for not reading the OPBut it's listed as one of the features of this recovery![]()
That sounds like it has absolutely nothing to do with recovery, honestly.I've recently been having an issue with both this and twrp. Both recoveries work fine but when I reboot I always have to do a 'battery pull' button combo because my phone freezes on the HTC one screen. Then it boots fine. Any ideas?
storage/sdcard1 should be the external sd.There seems to be no option to backup to the external sd card. Options are sdcard or storage/sdcard1 which are both the internal storage.
Hmmm...it appears you are correct...thanks Captain. I saw the backup and Blobs folders on internal and figured it sent the backup there...seeing one on the external card now as well...weird is both Windows and Root Explorer show the Blobs folder as having 0 bytes but when I open some of the inner folders there is definitely data in there.storage/sdcard1 should be the external sd.
