So for now, experience with google camera is better on Nougat?
I´m using PF 8 because Nougat LeeDroid does not feel fluid, Snapchat and Whatsapp had serious lags on Nougat, nothing like that on Oreo. But if camera experience on Nougat I might consider to roll back, camera is a big deal for me.
I love HTC but my next phone will be a Pixel.

All Configs are working we got Zero Shutter LAG and All pixel configs, Super HDR+ on front is working fine as well, we got Auto and MANUAL FOCUS awesome.
The build have Portrait Mod and Blur Mode implementation together. the HDR+ processing even on Super High its as fast as posible overal very very good build work like a charm the only thing i cant turn on is the Portrait Mod i think is a cosmetic because on other devices work will be good if someone with OREO test it because i think under OREO the portrait will work as well.

Yeah.. this is the best. Only portrait mode doesn't work. I'm with Oreo leedroid
I think is cosmetic bug since this is made to work under MIUI Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X we have to edit something to make portrait work.
If we do that this is the perfect combination HDR+ everywhere fast stable Auto and Manual Focus ZSL and who need more?
Know whats interesting? If i put the urikill mod in the magisk app, and place it in priv-app instead of app, portrait mode will work, until the camera driver crashes. Did you see that at all on the straight install?
Nope in the str8 install i have Black screen on both camers with all the configs i try so i think is something related to the drivers or some presets.!
Interestingly in Note 4 with SD 625 and Nougat Android they have working Portrait so thats why i think it is something related to a Lib driver ot just a preset xml line!
Total noon question and I'm sorry in advance but how do you use manual focus?
Manual Focus is in the Viewfinder you can slide and choice the desired destination for example
Instead to wait and try the App to autofocus the desired Object you can help her and even take a better picture.
Lets say scenario i will shoot a Landscape and i like something that is aproximately lets say 200 Metra from me so i slide the slider to 200 metra and wait a moment the focus will focus itself better when you take picture with that settings the app will be able to make the picture much more focused and clear of course this is very usefull when you shoot far away objects or just want to fine tune the focus!
This example is just aprox of course you dont have to measure the exact destination and when you sliding you gona see on the viewfinder that the focus image is getting clearer or blury this is you gona spot the perfect sweet pot and if you like it take the picture. It is also usefull if you try Macro really close object that it is hard to Focus the bad news is that the minimum focus is 10 cm.

I noticed some highlight artifacts on both back and front camera using the Pixel models, which only occurs with N6P model on other camera ports, wondering if I am the only one with such issues. Nougat stock based ROM.

Issue solved, uncheck minimal HDR+ smoothing, this doesn't play well with HTC 10 but works say on Nexus 6P.
Strangely camera.use_photos works under Nougat now, perhaps has to do with your Magisk module.

Yes we cannot use Smoothing but we can Use Extra HDR+ details in good light the Front Facing Camera is a Beast.
we always was able to use Camera use photo under Nougat.
What i found about this build is well.
All Pixel models work for sure but when you choice a MODEL and restart the next time you open the app you gona have different settings Under Developer settings.
For Example if you choice model PIXEL 2 XL restart and the next time you gona have all the settings that PIXEL 2 XL has.
If you choive lets say PIXEL XL this is an older device the next startup you gona have less settings.
this mean that when you choice a MODEL and restart the app to read the new settings the whole Gcam work like it is a the MODEL you choice.
In other builds when you choice MODEL you dont have extra options or etc.
I had idea:
@aer0zer0 you sayd that u got Portrait and crash when some people just get black screen all the time.
I found out that we can FORCE the portreit and test it well with direct install doesnt do anything for now under Nougat but can do it via Magisk or Oreo
when you install the apk in Model choice PIXEL 2 XL thats it and restart
then when you open the dev options you gona see new configs for example ENABLE_PD this is to force the Portrait mode
ENABLE PD and ENABLE PDBlur

Tried it with stock oreo sense rom, Portrait mod is not work as well, with almost all settings, any suggetions what can I d to help?
Yes in this case when you are stock OREO you can use this version is much more better and faster!

the only downside is crash sometimes when you try to take photo in really really dark night but i think this is fixed in OREO because several people reported me that they never had a single crash and was able to take night photo in very dark scenario as well so you can test it too.
For example set the flashlight to Auto mode and tonight try to shoot the Night sky have to be very very dark i mean NO any kind of artificial light around you.

Ive just Found All our Problems with the Crash by observing thinking how the Camera Works.
If Arnova8G2 fx it by removing the ZSL when the Flash Have to be used He gona have a BUG FREE superamazing Gcam Build not only for Us for all Devices who have by defaut ZSL in the Stock Camera All HTCs U series as well.
If you wish Shooot a Thousend Night Photos But just change the Config to use Nexus 6 Auto and you never will have a single crash. All our problems is the Zero Shutter Lag.
