I actually fixed the issue, I'm now rooted and have TWRP decrypted.
In the bootloop which I got from flashing the magisk_patched boot image, I started a cmd on my pc and did the following commands via ADB:
-adb devices (to check if its online)
-adb shell
-magisk --remove-modules

This deleted all the modules, which caused the bootloop, then the phone restarted itself and the phone booted in a few seconds with root.
After that I installed the unofficial twrp Q installer from https://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=80884663&postcount=3190
Flashed Magisk 20.1 and rebooted, everything working fine now. Finally.

@StanvdT--doo-oo-ood--you are magic!
Great job, and thanks for posting your solution.

How exactly did you access adb from a bootloop?

I just patched stable 10 and verified, both stock and modified here if needed
https://xftp.serveftp.com/OP6TMAGISK/

EDIT: accidentally uploaded the beta files(wifi didn't work), stable files now there :D
Somehow am not able to open this URL, is there any place I can find both files please, stock and batched boot img?

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm able to open it with VPN. Thanks for the share.

i had android 10 so no twrp i installed that unofficial twrp flashed magisk but everything works perfect but my WIFI is keep turning off automatically .

That's too bad. Thanks for letting us know.
I read somewhere that the best thing to do was install OOS 10 fresh, and the person even made a remark about having wifi issues, etc.
After you get your data backed up, you can reinstall fresh.
Seems to me that now you have running OOS 10, you ought be able to make the magisk patched image of it, and reinstall without twrp.
I used @xecuter2 magisk boot img and instructions here, with complete and easy success:
https://xdaforums.com/oneplus-6t/de...oneplus-6t-t3986585/post80813353#post80813353

(!!The Following May Not Work For You!!
Your best bet may be to follow the instructions by @clsA here:
https://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=80923785&postcount=132)

The order for me was:
1. Delete Magisk modules,
2. Flash stable OOS 10 via local update,
3. Reboot and launch system,
4. Install Magisk Manager,
5. Flash the patched boot image (per the instructions).
6. Then I don't recall if the instructions called for flashing latest Magisk again to the current slot.
I think that is all. I can live without TWRP for a while.

Hi Guys

UPDATE 2: (2/11/2019) Boot img now patched to Magisk V20.1 and added Google Drive as a mirror

UPDATE: It has come to my attention that some users are having issues with this version, please note this is still in beta and root isn't fully supported yet, also please make sure your running the latest magisk manager (version 7.3.5 at the time of this update) BEFORE flashing the patched boot IMG, those currently having issues, try flashing the stock IMG provided and installing the latest magisk manager then flashing the patched IMG

here is a working magisk patched boot img for you guys wanting root on your new android 10 open beta 1 software.

PLEASE BE AWARE THIS DOESNT COME WITH TWRP, THIS MAY ALSO BREAK THE ORIGINAL STOCK RECOVERY, BY FLASHING THIS BOOT IMG, YOU TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR DEVICE AND NEITHER I OR XDA WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE

this DOESNT contain TWRP but is just rooted with magisk v20.0

simply flash the provided file in fastboot with the following command

Please note this will ONLY work with the OnePlus 6T

i have also provided the stock android 10 boot img in case anything goes wrong

In case anyone is like me and doesn't keep up/focus on what needs to be done in which situation you are, hopefully this helps someone:

I own a OnePlus 6T, unlocked (directly from OnePlus, no carrier). I'm using AT&T. I previously had 9.0.17 (I think, or whatever the latest Android Pie version was) and decided I was bored and wanted to get on Q.

I uninstalled Magisk via Magisk Manager, so I could retain root after. I downloaded the update via Oxygen Updater and installed it and rebooted it, after forgetting to reinstall Magisk via Magisk Manager, because I'm dumb.

I rebooted and had no root, but I was successfully on Android 10. I searched this entire section, trying to find what to do, and landed on this thread. Flashed the patched boot.img via Fastboot and I can now say I successfully have Magisk back on my phone. Literally everything is the same as it was before. So, I just wanted to thank OP for posting this, it's much appreciated, and saved me hours of headache.

I did exactly everything you ended up doing, same 9.0 update to Q without reinstalling magisk like a dummy, but i cannot get my phone to boot with this patched boot image. I get stuck in a loop. Sits on the bootloader unlocked screen for a while, then reboots to fastboot.

I got also a WIFI issue with the patched boot.img.
tried your proposal - nothing changed
even Magisk Manager doesn't recognise root at the end...

I'm in the same spot any time I try this patched boot I have no wifi
It started yesterday after trying the new TWRP

Edit: I just fixed my wifi by flashing the OnePlus6TOxygen_34_OTA_040_all_1910270448_e026ea4b864.zip via local update (don't reboot)
then used magisk to patch the boot on the inactive slot > rebooted and wifi is working again

This of course removed TWRP from the phone but I can live with out it

One last thing the code on the first page doesn't work
the correct code is > fastboot flash boot_a magisk_patched.img
or > fastboot flash boot_b magisk_patched.img
depending on which slot your currently on

when you get the phone to boot to fastboot you can flash the stock boot.img and the phone will probably work again.
if not, get back into fastboot mode and flash TWRP .21 and flash the Full Android 10 release
followed by the TWRP installer. then reboot recovery and flash Magisk.

Be warned though I was never able to have both TWRP and Magisk installed at the same time, I had no Wifi.
To fix it I had to remove TWRP by flashing the Full rom again and flashed only the patched boot.img through fastboot

This worked like a charm for me, not sure how I'd go to 10 now without messing up my downloads or formatting the entire phone

If I'm doing a major update and not sure if I will have to format the data partition I just copy the entire sdcard to my PC before I begin

If you phone is booting again now disable all your magisk modules reboot the use the System update / Local update to install Android 10 (don't reboot)
then use Magisk Install to patch the inactive slot and your all set, reboot and nothing should be lost

I was on Havoc OS before not sure if I can just flash over it, can I?

Today I installed the new update, 10.0.1 for OP 6T and then I discovered that there is no magisk patched boot.img yet. I extracted it with payload dumper, patched with the installed magisk and flashed successfully.
I uploaded it to my drive for others. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1kboL_3t5_qJPmEq1YAVgWNaWgLN6j17b
    The commands for flashing are:
    fastboot flash boot_a magisk_patched.img
    fastboot flash boot_b magisk_patched.img
Maybe someone can add it to the first post.
    original 10.0.1 boot.img https://drive.google.com/open?id=1HPaAnpA7CJvALMAxI0Du8zCOFMXInjXq

Anyone care to try this? i have a working beta 1 boot.img with twrp built in and magisk preapplied. i pulled it directly from my device and i can boot to twrp and magisk v20 is working. just run the batch file, reboot when done, install magisk manager and enjoy root and twrp

    boot image
    3
How did you apply TWRP to the boot.img? I tried installing it myself, and got no recovery. I'm going to try yours, but I'm curious as to what your process was.

Edit: I notice that the first screen you see when booting is changed using your boot.img. Strange. Is that part of it?

ok guys. i have a t-mobile 6t converted. so i ran the file posted to only flash specific img files so t-mo works

this is what i did. since the boot img in that file is rooted already i installed magisk manager. opened it and went to modules. now i flashed the twrp 3.3.1-8 zip. then i flashed magisk 19.5 without exiting or rebooting. then i noticed magisk was now uninstalled so i flashed twrp again and rebooted to twrp and it worked. then i flashed the twrp zip again from twrp and then the v20.0 version of magisk rebooted to twrp and still had it so booted normally and checked magisk manager which now said i had v20.0 installed. rebooted to recovery multiple times after this to make sure it stuck. then pulled my boot img from my phone and posted it for all of you guys. glad it works. would have started a new thread but this one was already here. glad its working for you guys. enjoy root and twrp on android 10 Open beta 1.
    3
    Good luck.
Remember to post if you learn anything worth passing on.

Finally.
