OP6T users who are having issue with this module (font turning into italic and glitchy system ui, mostly common with Indian builds) - Use Overlay Mount fix 1.1 instead of 2.1. (Tested working on 6T 10.3.5 OOS)

OP7 and OP7T Series users can try RiCE Module to get Horizon Lightning.

Even with the description I didn't understand the difference from the normal vs the black versions... installed both and can't find the difference

Would anyone be kind enough to elaborate?

RICE Tweak works only on Stable OOS releases. I am currently on beta. Anyway we can make it work?

It's a weird issue I'm facing. The mod was working perfectly last time i was on 10.3.5. i flashed a different ROM and now came back to 10.3.5 but now it's not working. I don't understand what could cause the issue. Please if anyone can help me out?

Any way to have this work without having ambient display/ambient notifications on? Seeing a notification's contents + edge lighting kind of defeats the purpose. Unless in the only one experiencing this?

    Please read the complete post to understand this mod.​


    Some important information:
    • I don't own a OnePlus6T and won't be able to update this mod without your help. In case of an OOS update i need to following files: OPSystemUI.apk [/system/product/priv-app] and framework-res.apk [/system/framework]
    • There won't be an UI or any other tuneable to configure anything for this mod
    • Lights will light up five times per notification
    • Lights will show up in App-icon color which generates the notification [Whatsapp: green lights, Telegram: blue lights, etc.]
    • Installation via Magisk only // Flashing via TWRP will fail

    I'm providing two different versions of this mod:
    1. 'normal' : EdgeLighting / HorizonLights only
    2. _black-qs: EdgeLighting / HorizonLights + black statusbar / notification backgrounds [on dark system theme]


    Requirements:
    • Device: OnePlus6T [OnePlus6 version here]
    • ROM: OxygenOS 10.3.*
    • Magisk: Magisk v20.4
    • Settings: Ambient display notifications must be enabled [Settings - Display - Ambient Display - New notifications]

    Update - OOS 10.3.7

    Hi,

    mod updated to OxygenOS 10.3.7.

    I dropped the 'normal' version as I'm now shipping v3.

    Additional i want to advise everybody to not use any previous OOS mods on a not matching OOS version because of compatibility issues. Of course you can edit the OOS check within the zip file, but it wasn't added just for fun - remember that.

    Changes in v3 compared to v2:
    • Display turns on and shows incoming notification for 4 seconds
    • While display is on: HorizonLights repeating 8 times; notification disappears after the first 4 seconds [resulting in HorizonLights only mode a few seconds]


    In case this mod doesn't work for you:
    • Remove the fake india partition located at /data/india/india.img.
    • Install overlayfix via: 'Magisk - Downloads'

    History​

    Information about Lighting v2:
    • Lights will show up in App-icon color which generates the notification [Whatsapp: green lights, Telegram: blue lights, etc.]

    • Display turns on and shows incoming notification for 4 seconds
