Thanks for your reply, is that the 23015 build ?.... just now I tried everything aside from factory reset, so that may be my last resort now..... but at least I know that it should/can work, so thats very helpful

Thanks again, apparently the build number is different on mine (5d6d2417 instead of your 1c8ebfac) - where did you download the alpha from ?

I got it from the Magisk Alpha telegram channel.
Just google for it, it should be on the top of the list

But if you use Zygisk+DenyList - then that part works like in the new Canary

What is or not the same Magisk - sorry be precise, cannot guess what you think or not?!

Canary channel is (and always was) official prereleases from TJW, creator and maintainer of Magisk (Stable).
Big changes are already rolling in Canary, hence it is not (functionally) the same as the old Stable.
There are already tons of posts here in the thread about what is new in the Canary and how to use - there are also posts with ChangeLogs - please read, be familiar, this is not TG channel and please don't expect that somebody will waste the time to repeat all the same things to every newcomer

There are also two spun-offs, Magisk Alpha and Magisk Custom - they are based on the new Canary but with some differences (making them more or less similsr to the old Magisk Stable).
Again, please go back, find and read the posts about, tons of ink was already spent on, several users posted questions, answers, opinions, links to their Github pages and TG channels for download, discussion about, etc

I know as much as you: what can be found on the link you provided. Shortly tested (you can as well), the app allows you to install modules from the two repositories

And, don't know how submitting to their new repo works - frankly, was not interested about (I use Magisk Custom that still has support for the old repo like in the old Stable).
However, old repo is closed for submission of new modules - only the authors who already had their modules approved, they can still update new versions for their modules

AFAIK, there is no DenyList in Custom. Only MagiskHide without or with Zygisk

Kudos to you for doing this. This thread has become very fragmented with all the different versions of Magisk being discussed in this one thread. I can't imagine being a new user (or even an experienced one) and coming in here and trying to figure out what is what, what does what, etc., especially given the OP can't be revised unless John does it. Even trying to figure out what version someone is talking about in a given post can be difficult at times I would imagine. I'm sure this table will be very helpful to many.

Looks like you didn't reboot the phone (the Zigisk setting is telling you that you should reboot)
