Oh, well. I used the stock AOSP file and modified it, and there are quite many differences to the stock OOS file. So there are many lines which are different. But the line which causes the notification delay has been found by @joshuous . You can find it here in the OP what I'm talking about.

Just to confirm, I'm still on CNP Oreo and the mod has been working fine for me since forever (no issues with Wi-Fi too). Not sure about CNP Pie. Haven't tested yet. Will jump ship when OOS Pie Open Beta is up and the custom ROM developers pull the Pie blobs from it.
That's interesting! On CNP Pie, my mod doesn't work, as Wifi doesn't turn on then anymore. The AOSP Pie file differs from the CNP wifi file, some lines aren't there. That's why I'll post another version, soon, just for CNP Pie for now it seems. Who cares about OOS xD There are so many stable AOSP Roms out there, without any notification bug
Many, Cypher, PE, MSM. All these 3 are much more optimised and have a better implementation of oos camera than cnp if you want that. Plus OMS substratum support in MSM and maybe the others. Only been using MSM recently myself as it's so dam good.I will

At least PE has been discontinued afaik. And how do you know it's "a better implementation of OOS cam"? It works flawlessly, substratum, too. So I guess it's just personal preference
PE has been taken over by a new dev. Last update was this week or last week. OOS cam has been better implemented because it has all the stuff CNP has but better image quality and performance. Basically the same as stock oos cam now and substratum works perfect with no root and no reboot is necessary.At least PE has been discontinued afaik. Should it be treated as a proper update, i.e. will it also work for ROMs (Oreo and Pie) other than CNP? Or is this exclusive for CNP and the general mod should be used on other ROMs?
For now, I only can say that it works on CNP. For all other ROMs, the regular version should work. At least on OOS Oreo and, as reported by an user, on RR, the regular version works just fine. Perhaps Nitrogen OS has a slightly different base or something, I don't know.

I see. I asked because I maintain a TWRP flashable zip of your mod in my Android Essentials and if it was a universal update, I would've updated my zip too, but since it isn't and has been made with CNP in mind, I'll just stick to the last universal one for the zip.

Crdroid isn't great, has lots of microlags. LR is decent but not as good as others. MSM is on another level honestly.
So as far as I understood, this mod also aims to fix delayed notifications?
