I agree, this should work without a hitch. However, after making these changes and rebooting, it breaks it. I now get the error: "Still can't connect to camera. Try restarting your device".

This is very odd!

What version of Pixel Experience do you use? I am in the latest version of the rom (with latest global stable pie firmware) and the front camera does not work

After updating to the latest CAF version of PE, now my front camera doesn't work either. It did work on everything except Portrait mode before. I also have the latest stable global fw. Two steps forward, one step back. Sigh.

Please report these errors in the official thread for Platina. Hopefully they can be solved soon.
I have returned to Miui 10.2.2 Pie temporarily, because I need the camera to be stable, but I don't like Miui XD

There's a problem with the last buld of pixel experience (pie) and lineage os 16 for Mido (Redmi note 4/4x [sd 625]). These builds have both the last android patch (5th september 2019). With the previous version of these ROM 4.5 magisk module works very well. Anyone have the same problem?

Tried to flash the latest version in my Pixel Experience (Redmi S2) but it stuck in Loading screen and to fix it I need to remove the Whole Module in TWRP Magisk Manager.

Btw I used this on Evolution X rom for Redmi S2 it works without any problem.
