You could open an error on github with some more information such as: module version, android version used and a screenshot. However a similar problem has already been encountered, see if it is similar to yours: https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Alt-Repo/open_webview/issues/1
Yeah this is the same error I get when trying to install via foxes magisk module manager, if I try to install via magisk direct (busy box module installed) I just get the download error without the mention of curl.

I think the problem has been solved, check the latest version of the module and let me know!

@F3FFO Thank you so much !!!! This is the only way I managed to install Bromite WebView to my CRDroid Android 13 install. And I did try EVERYTHING before.
Many many thanks !!
Keep up the wonderful work!

Cheers!

Thanks so much, F3FFO!

With this Magisk module I've finally managed to install the Bromite WebView on my Pixel 7.

Initially I experienced the same issue as mentioned by others in this thread (download failed). After turning on debugging I saw that the curl command was hard pointing to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 for DNS resolving. In my home network I block every outgoing DNS request and so the hostname of Github could not be resolved thus failing the download. Maybe you should edit the alias for curl in functions.sh (line 194) and remove the --dns-servers option. After disabling WiFi and using my cellular internet connection I was able to successfully install this module.

One more thing, your first post in this topic is referring to Open Fonts, it's confusing.

Hope this helps!
