magisk root and back question

I am planning to root using magsik in order to use full features of edge sense plus premium. After i root, would it be possible to go back to stock recovery in order to take in stock OTAs, without losing the root?

I'd imagine you'd have to reflash Magisk every time you updated via OTA. That is, if it even lets you update rooted via OTA.
