[edited]turns out this method is breaking the wifi after couple of hours, at least it did for me, so keep that in mind

just wanted to share that you can get root access without flashing custom recovery. Just get Magisk Manager and choose option to patch the boot image (you can get boot.img from stock rom files.)
Copy boot.img onto the phone, patch it, pull the patched image back, reboot into bootloader and flash boot.
You will have Magisk and SU avaiable. I had quite a few issues while flashing Razer and this way seems to be the easiest.
I didn't see any post about it and I think it might be usefull to some people, especially when you can avoid the ab slot problem.
