Ok I really would like some help with this. I am trying to map the headphones that came with the epic to work with any music app. Cubed is perfered but any will do. I know that it can be done because the file in system/usr/keylayout or something close to that has the lines in to do this but I can not figure out how to make it work... no matter what I do pressing buttons on the headphones brings up call log and a long press brings up the voice dialer. Any help is greatly appreciated as this is something I have been trying to figure out since I got the phone! TIA!

Set 248 to HEADSETHOOK WAKE. I just made a thread about this a few hours ago, it's still on the page.

Yes I tried this and still wouldn't change songs only pause and play music. When I change this what do I change SEND END to... or delete it altogether... I did try deleting it and then I got no response from my headset at all. I also tried changing numbers with headsetwake and only play pause...
Edit... Ok I got it! Seems like my headphones button was getting stick so wasn't registering my presses! Gonna post a screenshot of how the file should look for anybody else wanting this to work!

system/usr/keylayout/sec_jack.kl
Use root explorer press rw to be able to rewrite hard click the sec_jack.kl file open in text editor and make it look like the screenshot I posted earlier then remount as ro and it should work.... don't know if that will work for a bluetooth but it does for headphones...
