friend works perfect !!! from Venezuela I send a greeting! thank you very much for taking the time and modify this file !!!
I have one question, your modification increases the brightness to maximum, i work perfect, but the error is in lollipop, which varies the brightness sometimes, you've accomplished fix that bug??
sorry my english.
don't know about the lollipop system files coz m on MM and just bought S7 edge ..... yes the problem is there too but to my surprise, problem is not with auto brightness
while on auto-brightness mode, increase the brightness to full and it stays full, but on manual brightness it drops when full...
idiot samsung

This has got to be the most annoying bug ever. Trying to use the phone without a patched file is horriblev lol lol. Samsung really needs to fix this issue.
those idiots won't fix it, we have to root our device to fix it, now i don't want to loose may warranty of brand new phone, but 1st time I am thinking not to root my device coz its perfect.. !!!

I uploaded the wrong file please edit the services.jar in this new link sorry about that.

is the services.jar file 6.7 long, the same one mentioned in his reply to you
also i guess i must change the permissions to rwrr (actually i put a sign on all of them including uid)
let me know please if this is too much
also i am not sure if i put 0644 it is the correct combination
i will wait for your answer before trying anything
btw if it doesn't work there is no way to get into the system directory via recovery so i can replace the wrong jar with the old saved jar file
thanks again

If it doesnt work you will get into a bootloop or just stuck at your boot logo , you would have to restore your backup or fresh install, anyway the correct combination is 0644 dont tick all the combinations. First copy the file over, then exit RootBrowser or whatever app you are using, then go back and change to 0644 then reboot. Follow this and you will be fine. But remember to make a backup , just incase. And yes the files is 6.7 mb the one gitin replied to me, sorry for replying back so late , take care.

hi
i downloaded the file and put in a directory, went back with solid explorer and tried to change the permissions, it would not let me
i have root explorer which does allow changing the permissions but i did not want to do it until you told me i have the correct file
i did back ups with twrp also another way i've come out of the loop was by shutting down (volume down + power for 7 secs) then rebooting in recovery and reinstall the rom, did this a couple of times and it works. did not even need to wipe data, just reinstall rom and kernel and it goes back fresh
thanks for sticking with me, much appreciated

OK so I fresh installed my firmware. And just uploaded a fresh version of my services.jar. I think the reason the last one diddent work was because I refreshed firmware back and forth and used the file you fixed. So when you get a chance please fix this file I'm going to leave phone as is until that file is fixed because this bug is driving me insane I'm ready to throw across the room or return because I hate this bug. Thank you so much for your help.
