marketplace, apps and backup question

Hi,

I have not purchased anything from the marketplace yet, and reluctant to as i do not understand how i can 'backup' my purchases. I though my google account would save them , but after doing a factory restore, i lost all my apps and google didn't remember them. Can someone offer me advice as to how i can make sure i do not lose my paid for apps?

From all my experiences, they are all backed up to your Google account. Just make sure to sync it.
