Just what I need but unfortunately all the links are dead. Any chance of getting the ones you have back up? Many thanks
I linked to Yandex there you still can find the recovery and fastboot updates for marmite, almost like it's the last ones you can find.
Check the post before yours.

[Referring to Message 240 with the download links] Hi, I downloaded the first but it says it needs a password - I then tried to download the second but the page and prompts are all in Russian and the page doesn't translate - any ideas?

hmm, I can download without any kind of prompt for a password.. I have now uploaded some of the files to GDrive, these links should work better.

TOS249H (Recovery Image)
TOS319I (Recovery Image)
UOS273C (Recovery Image)

TOS249H (Fastboot Image)
TOS319I (Fastboot Image)
TOS373J (Fastboot Image)

UOS363F (Unofficial Image) (Recovery/Fastboot/QFIL)

TOS249H to TOS319I (OTA Update)
TOS319I to TOS373J (OTA Update)
TOS373J to UOS273C (OTA Update to OREO 2)
UOS273C to UOS363F (OTA Update)

About the unofficial image:
eXense said:
Unofficial full firmware packages
For custom recovery, Fastboot and DLOAD (via QFIL)

For firmware via recovery, copy the archive with the firmware to the device and flash it, it is also possible through ADB Sideload
For firmware via Fastboot, unzip to PC and run fastboot flash.cmd
For firmware via DLOAD, there is QFIL in the archive, start it and follow the basic instructions. You can sew with a locked bootloader. After the firmware, it is necessary to make Wipe Data / Factory reset from recovery.

Detailed instructions.

The firmware was successfully tested by locking the bootloader, if there is a desire to lock the bootloader, it is enough to flash it through QFIL. After flashing through Fastboot or TWRP you can also lock, but the probability of a successful result depends on the integrity of the markup and service sections.
#
Lock commands:
fastboot flashing lock
fastboot flashing lock_critical

fastboot FRP unlock.cmd eliminates google blocking in case you forget your account information.
This is essentially one command:
fastboot erase config

For devices with a locked bootloader, you can unlock FRP via QFIL by choosing rawprogram_FRP_UNLOCK_ONLY.xml

Translated from russian with Google translate.

How to QFIL

Yes and yes.
I always do the fastboot method but yes the recovery image is if you want to install through TWRP and these are for WF Swift 2, 2+ and 2X. All "Marmite" devices.

Allright to clarify, these "recovery image" files that I made links for are the stock system roms that is flashed through TWRP.
If you have stock WF recovery on your device you also have stock system, now that is how it usually is anyways and the stock WF recovery only do the OTA updates.
Only with TWRP you can flash the recovery image files, if you want to flash anything but the OTA updates then you do so with TWRP.
If you want to do a full restore to stock including the recovery to stock, fastboot or QPST/QFIL is the way to go.

Fastboot flash the easy way:
  • Unpack the fastboot image file to its own folder on your PC.
  • Next unpack this FastbootFlash.zip file to the same folder.
  • Boot your phone into Fastboot mode.
  • Connect phone to your PC.
  • On your PC, open folder with unpacked files and run "fastboot flash.cmd"
Added some more links.

How to do fastboot the easy way:
- Unpack the fastboot image file to its own folder on your PC.
- Next unpack this FastbootFlash.zip file to the same folder.
- Go to your phone settings and find phone version number, tap 7 times on it to activate developer mode <- this you maybe already have done.
- Go to developer settings and make sure that USB debugging is activated.
- Connect your phone to your PC
- Open folder with unpacked files and run "fastboot flash.cmd"
That is it, let it do its thing and you're then done.

Added some more links.

Bro I try flash with twrp but failed error I downloaded os 7 ,,
pls no more "bro"-ing me, okay.
Go ahead and try another image then, see if it is that one image being faulty or something. It could be the version of twrp you're using or it could be that twrp can't access partition also for watever reason.
Maybe only needs to do a format, maybe system is set as read-only. Hard to know exactly what it is that fails, you telling me you got an error is not much to go on.
I'll have to let anyone else help you if you want to go with a recovery image then.
I always do fastboot because that always worked out for me, I've done effort enough to simplify fastboot flash for you.
I've tried the unofficial image of UOS363F out and can tell that one works absolutely fine with fastboot flash.

Next you unpack/extract the file on your pc, open the folder up and just run the "fastboot flash.cmd" file. It doesn't get any easier than that.

Have you wiped cache and dalvik cache partitions? If not, try do that. In twrp you go to wipe -> advanced and check cache and dalvik cache, swipe to confirm wipe.

I myself would do a full total wipe, wiping everything except maybe the data partition and then freshly flash all back to device with fastboot. If that doesn't fix it then I am not sure what does.
Even if you still want to do a flash through twrp instead of fastboot, you may still need to wipe all partitions except data to do a successfull downgrade.
However if twrp is giving you errors when you try flashing you should rather sort that out first before you start wiping stuff, cache and dalvik cache you can still wipe though.

That error like this
Ahh, it detects that you're on a newer build and therefore aborting flash.
The way around this should be to do a full wipe on everything. After you wiped everything, reboot device and get back into recovery. Then you try to flash it, should work after that.

Wipe everything like dalvik cache data system internal too or only dalvik cache data system not internal too
