I have been a Nook HD+ owner for about 1.5 years and have been avidly following the nook+ forums. I am currently running amaces UNOFFICIAL CM12.1 for Nook HD/HD+ [2015-10-18] with prior experience on 10, 11 versions. With the current 12.1 version, I am attempting to run it as a media center connected to tv running kodi, netflix, amazon, watchespn, slingtv and hdhomerun, with a wireless mouse/keyboard. All of these apps currently run great displaying to the nook+ screen, but the problems come with connecting to the tv and running mouse thru hdmi adapter in usb host mode.
I get a picture but the resolution is incorrect for the tv, stays at nook display resolution. An old forum post Nook HD+ HDMI adapter suggests that the original nook+ firmware connected to the tv fine, with auto switching of the resolution and turning nook+ screen off. @amaces will this be addressed in your 12.1 and 13 roms?
The other issue is usb host thru hdmi adapter, it is not passed thru the adapter with any versions of the roms. But, a previous post suggests that it is possible with a powered hub, "Edit #2: What that last sentences means, I think, is that USB host mode with the HDTV/HDMI adapter may work without modification, if the Nook USB cable is connected to a powered hub." Has anyone verified this.
If these issues were addressed, the nook+ could be a great little android tv box vs. collecting dust.
