Now after 5 hours of NO use since unplugged I am at 63%, this is Unacceptable!!!! Says my screen is the highest percentage then google services and I've been on WIFI as well. Usually I get home at the end of the day and its around 55-65% with a fair amount of use before the upgrade. I don't know what to do at this point as I've been running MM for 4 days.....
Be sure to uncheck wifi scanning in the advanced wifi settings. Big resource hog.

Have you done a factory reset after the upgrade?
No I have not. I've never had to do that for any of my many android phones ever. And never had I had a battery as bad as this after this upgrade.. It was perfect before.... It's clean and optimized as well... Now I'm at 45% after 6 1/2 hours of the phone being on..... NO USE at all. Only thing I've noticed is it only gets hot while away from WiFi.. But it still drains in WiFi connected areas just sitting there doing nothing like crazy as well...

Backing up all my crap and possibly going to try a factory reset.... Not what I feel like doing LOL:eek:

You should know that after a android version change a factory reset is recommended. I alwaus do that and never had issues.

I get it.. I was a Flashaholic for a long time, so I know the drill.... I've just never experienced a battery drain even close tom this, guess I'm in denial to try LMAO, just hope it fixes any issue(s) I have in the end.... As usually newer revisions of custom or OEM roms have fixed my problems if any in the past..

Just started reading this thread, giving a few of the suggestions a go, not sure how much good they are but battery doc app says these are running (pic). Think I only had Internet & settings open at the time

From this to fully flat with apps closed wifi and data off by 7:40. [emoji45] activities log turned off

Impressive! Well I don't wanna jump the gun but I performed a factory reset and restored all my data and apps rebooted and did a full charge last night and my phone has been off the charger over 2 hours thismorning with 100% battery still!! So far it seems it was way worth the hassel...:good:

Glad to hear that. Give it 2,3 cycles then judge the battery life.

If you are rooted and bootloader unlocked so that you can block ads and debloat rogue system apps, and also keep junk apps like FB and FB messenger off your phone, then you would have discovered that all versions of MM get great battery life on LG G4.

Fully agree on the FB crap. Clean out Chrome too and use Opera mini and you will get even more amazing battery time, much better than you could get with LP! Chrome turned out a real battery hog a week ago or so for me. Just out of the blue it would typically grab twice the amount of battery as the screen uses. Opera mini is down to about one fifth of what the screen uses.
Maybe the Chrome problem was just a thing for me, but I have never seen a web browser as light on the battery as Opera mini. Perhaps it has its limitations, but I pleased with it so far anyway.

The only Google apps I use are an old version of Maps before they ruined it, the Play Store. and the Sky Map app - all other Google apps have been removed.

For web browsers on Android, my favorites are Dolphin, Puffin, & Firefox

I tried Firefox before I Installed Opera mini and that was the smoothest browser I have seen in a long time, smooth as butter! Sadly, it was almost as battery hungry as Chrome. :(

try Dolphin & Puffin - Dolphin is the best mobile browser I have ever found, when using a mobile user agent, however if I want a beautiful desktop user agent on my phone which looks identical to using a desktop, I go with Puffin - although you need to likely adjust DPI down to have a beautiful huge screen view - for LG G4 the ideal DPI is 538 (the screen's native resolution)
