Not exactly relevant as I've got a question about LP's battery life, but still. I've just moved to a G4 from Xperia Z2, which has a full HD screen rather than quad HD and 200 more mAh, but with the LG G4 I've got 40% of battery left after 12 hours of use with less than 2 hours of SoT, which seems pretty poor. Is this normal? Or does the software take some time to adjust itself?

Maybe...

i've installed it yesterday. But i've bought the G4 3 Days before, so i cant tell / feel any difference. Maybe the Phone needs to "ajust" itself, caused by the new Smart features? I've experienced on many Andoid- Phones, when you using Google Now, it takes some days, until Battery Life gets normal, caused by all these Tracking/Searching- Features of google Now. When G-NOW knows you hood, then the battery life is getting better.

Just wait and see... ;)

Seems pretty normal to me. Of course, it depends on your usage, but I have a similar battery life. Somewhere around 4 hours of SoT (Web browsing, Tapatalk, Wechat and WhatsApp mainly).

I've had the G4 for a week or so now. I've never managed anything more than 3 hours SOT. I installed MM yesterday and finished up with just 2 hours SOT?! The only reasons I jumped from my M8 to G4 is for the camera and battery. The camera is better but the battery is worse. Despite being an android user since 2009, I'm seriously thinking of jumping over to the iPhone 6S plus to get some decent battery life!

8 ball pool, Viber, web browsing and YouTube watching, with auto-sync off left me 5% of battery with 3 hours and 30 mins of SoT in a single day. I hope that will get better :D

2 hours SoT? Man, even SGS6 could do better. Maybe a factory reset and some time will improve your G4, if not, that jump seems rather reasonable.

Today will be my first day with stock v20b firmware so will report back later. I would say that when I was using cm13 I was able to get plus 5 hours fairly regularly so I'm sure with the right tweaks it will be possible on stock or stock based roms as well. If you are town at the 2 or 3 hour mark, it may be due to how you are using the phone (I'm a fairly light user all things told) but I can also try and give my guidance on what I'm doing to get extra battery as well.

"logd" is eating my battery. i see it on gsam. anyone know what that is? i did 2 factory reset but my battery life is worse than 5.1. what can i do? any advice?
I have the same problem. The process "System (logd)" eats up about 25% of the battery an is the main battery consumer. On 5.1 I did not have this issue. Can anybody help?

For those out there with HUGE bat. drain : the culprit MAY be viber !
i´m on marshmellow , LG G4 ... when the update come from lolipop at firt I thought it was android 6 still not on ....point ! but after a few tests and the help of an app ( gsambattery monitor) viber was to blame ... uninstalled it and confirmed !

Î recently changed carrier and my previous one had a better coverage. I definitively lost some battery life : I was around 3h30-4 hours of SoT, and now it's more like 3-3h30. So yes, GSM coverage plays quite a big part in your day to day battery life.

After trying LG G4 Marshmallow i think for battery is good only when idle, but when screen on still have same battery drain on lollipop. So for battery life only add more minutes caused by idle time. LG should make the screen more efficient if i compare to another phone like note 5 with the same battery capacity and QHD screen, note 5 have very good screen on time compare to G4. Hope LG can make more battery efficient on next update

Note 5 has an AMOLED screen and a vastly superior (quicker and more power efficient) processor.

The G4 will therefor never have comparable battery life.

But Touchwizz sucks, and even in game it's not optimize, for instance GTA San Andreas is laggy with a S6 or Note 5, and very smooth with a G4

Yeah touchwiz not really optimize even for phone, sometimes i cannot receive call because i cannot press pickup button i only can press hangup on my older samsung galaxy S and note series.
I really miss LG G2 battery life, just wish LG G4 can have same battery life like LG G2

I went through half the note 5 battery thread and don't see too much impressive battery in there. Just a little better than the G4 in terms of battery.

Which means less than 4hSOT with a run time of 24h ?

what is poor about that :)
