I really want to update to 6.0 but I no longer have the phone on the verizon network... Is there a file I can download to update manually?

Have you tried using the update feature in settings? Other than that, you can use the Samsung Desktop Utility (named something like that, but don't quote me on the name) to install it through USB.

Settings says server unavailable... And the Samsung smart switch says unavailable?

Well then you can't download the update through the system update app on your phone and you need to download and install it manually through ODIN (check Google on how).

If you have never uses ODIN before, it's very easy to brick your phone if you don't know what you are doing, so follow the instructions CAREFULLY.

Also, remove your SIM card out of the phone when install it. This isn't required, but just to be sure that something wierd doesn't happen when installing the OS. Android likes to do random things all the time.

Is Verizon sim card a must for OTAs? I just bought a Verizon galaxy s6 edge plus unlocked.
