Sounds like someone alluded to it but to double check, I assume all Mate 40 Pro Plus are China version right? Were people able to load GMS onto it?

As far as I know yes, only launched in China for Pro + and RS.
I'm sticking to HMS this time with no issues so haven't tried, but from all I've read it's easier to add to these models than say UK Mate 40.

I quite sure - Yes.

So far even Huawei official online store in China also not selling, i don't knw why.

I managed to get one from alibaba.com for 2000$. GMS works ok too. Some minor regressions vs P40 Pro Plus with GMS sideloaded: even non-GMS notifications don't seem to work anymore (e.g. Telegram). Also couldn't get Google contacts' sync to work this time either.
