Hey folks, I'm no newbie by any means but I'm not to familiar with safe phone temps during charging. As I type this, I'm charging my phone off the computer and the temp is saying 106.5. It's gotten this high several times and I have yet to have a meltdown or battery on fire, but I am beggining to wonder what the phone can take.

Can anyone guide me in some sort of direction to learn more about this?

Currently I'm using Net's 4.3.2 CFS HAVS MORE SBC. I get great batt time on medium to heavy usage, so far it doesn't have seemed to have affected the batteries in any fashion and I have 3.

Thanks ahead of time to anyone with good usable advice.

PLEASE DON'T THRASH ME! I'M NOT PERFECT, LOL :D

100 is normal during heavy use like tethering but not while it is just charging, as long as it's not over 120 you should be ok though

That's pretty warm but within safe limits, it sounds like it is charging heavy while your still using the phone.
Sweet. I really didn't want to have to give up the SBC. I get 2 and a half days on my Seidio 3500 and a day and a half on stock. It's not like it gets too hot to hold the phone. It's just warm. Thanks man.

the sticker on the battery says 140° degrees ;)
I didn't even think to read the batt, duh, lol. One thing though, it says do not expose to 140. Does that also go for a batts internal cells?

Either way, with that high of an external exposure rating, my batt reaching no more than 107 degrees is going to cause any damage. At least not extreme anyway, lol.
