I found a workaround for fingerprint unlock not working, if you are rooted.
Usually, after a reboot, fingerprint unlock doesn't work. If so, flash a module (every one, even reflash one of yours) and reboot.
The fingerprint unlock will now work. Until next reboot...
I understood why this worked. Simply, when rebooting, the fingerprint unlock stops working.
But if you turn your phone off then on, the fingerprint is ok. I don't know what's the difference, but this is the behaviour.
Now, the only oher issue is that some system apps are ccrashing. I usually don't get mobile signal after these crash, so I think this can be related to the updated baseband for vulnerabilities.
I'll try to flash a different baseband and see what happens.

Aignes Website-Watcher is telling me this (bolded) part at the end is new in the "Which devices are eligible?" FAQ at:
Devices must be on a non-Developer Preview public stable build to enroll in the beta program.

Hi, has anyone faced similar situation? Some of my apps loose certain permission after every reboot. Like Network Manager Pro looses the ability to display over other apps and Sound Profile looses the ability to modify system settings after every single reboot. Just need help preventing this from happening.

Yep, I've experienced this on a few apps. Auto Tools is one of them (reverts the modify system settings permission). Sound Profile as well. Hopefully it's just a bug (and not intended behavior) that will be fixed when the first beta is released

Everything is going great for me, no issues with network or app crashes and I'm using this as my daily driver. Only one thing is bothering me i.e. fingerprint. One day it's working and then next day it's gone. After some time it reappear and works well. I tried everything including removing and re-registering FP but no luck.

This makes me feel like someone in Google is bored and somehow is turning off and on FP again and again :alien: :ROFLMAO:

Random reboots for anyone? Weirdest things are happening today, phone rebooted 6 times in last 3 hours

I guess I was wrong in bragging about having no issues in my last post. Random reboots, sim changes frequently and network issues today! Phew !!
More and more random reboots and sim gets disabled after each. This is becoming pain after few good days

I'm not even rooted!

Good thing that Android 14 still has months before it's considered stable.

Are you considering opting out of the Beta, or if you have your bootloader unlocked, flashing the Stable firmware (with a wipe)? For that matter, you could try just a factory reset on Android 14 DP2? I still wouldn't expect any different behavior in the long term until 14 is closer to being stable.

Yup, I'm unlocked and will be doing a factory reset over the weekend. I probably wouldn't opt out of beta coz it's kinda good feeling to have features before rest of the world 😁

Good luck! I hope the factory reset helps a lot, and/or that the Beta 1 solves your issues when it comes out, hopefully sooner rather than later.
