(Mcgyver: FIXED) MB525 BL7 and Battery: Ongoing

I have same Problem.
I have green lens defy and flash Full sbf dfp 231 (BL7).
my battery and camera not work.
i use 2 battery and external charger. ( like u )
only way is use froyo kernel on BL7.
if u find way Send me massage.

i did find another battery fix yesterday. all it did was change the value to 85 per cent. i have now tired 7 battery fixes. none of them have worked. thankfully the camera works (but the camera on this phone is so bad that i rarely if ever use it anyway).

anyways if i get a fix i will let you know and would appreciate you doing the same.

The battery fixes replace your battd.bin binary file which stores the info about the battery. Surprisingly there isn't a single binary that work with each phone, it acts weirdly and not sure what fix will work for a particular phone.. I again suggest you, every battery fix you find. You're not the first one to face the problem and its been sorted for many..

ok if it is just the battd.bin file that is the problem here can this not be manually adjusted through es file explorer by editing the text. would that fool the phone into thinking the battery is an mb526 battery? what i mean is can i not just get someone to tell me what there battd.bin file says and then i just edit it in a text editor and set the permissions?

basically although the phone is running fine using the extrenal battery charger and switching the batterys when they run out of charge not knowing how much battery is left is a bit of a pain.

yes i know but because none of them have worked what about manually adjusting the file and testing it out through trial and error. if it is a text file how about just experimenting by changing the different values of the text? i am assuming it is a file that can be altered in a text editor. in fact i am gonna take a look at the files tomorrow when i have more time and see if there is some way of altering the file through es file explorer.

ah welcome mate! not the best club to be in but now that you are here make yourself at home. me i have totally given up. i am gonna buy the new intel moto razr i when it is released in the uk which is the first phone i have come across that is a worthy successor to the defy..

i will keep the defy for a spare and hope that someone comes up with a way to downgrade the bl7 bootloader and then if it happens sell it. i wont hold my breath though.

if i find an answer i woill be sure to post here and will appreciate the other members of the gang to do the same.

It will take some time until there is a functional custom kernel that will fix our issue, but its still a very possitive message

yep cheers mate. i did read that and it will sort us right out but i have a feeling it will take a bit of time to get up and running. once it does work though i have a feeling it will fix the battery problem. heres hoping quarx or someone spends a bit oif time on it and gets it sorted asap.

Mcgyvern with Nokia

Used my Old nokia E60 with a ByPass cable from phone battery contacts to the mb525 battery.

Nokia battery uses the same 3.7 like mb525 battery.

(ByPass Cable = Cable from a defect gfx fan worx nicely)

Cut the cable from fan and unclip the little white plastic housing,
than squize the metal a little bit for mb525 akku. fits and hold perfect :victory:

Undrill and unshild the other side and connect the black to - and red to + contact in the nokia battery bay on mb525 red to + \ black to - .
(pay attention to insulation of the two).

You can install cm10 or cm10.1 by quarx. BL7 green lens camera works.
