Hello everyone,

After big research on XDA forum and 4pda.ru, I come here to ask for your help.

I have a Xomax XM-DA708 headunit :
CHIPSET : AllWinner T3 P3 Quad Core - ROM 16GB - DDR3 2GB - 1024x600
ANDROID VERSION : 7.1.1
KERNEL VERSION : Linux 3.10.65 - Tue Sep 25 10:47:25 CST 2018
OS VERSION : BSP 2.3.4.3.12 - IVT - 180925
MCU VERSION : 20180725-5-KC1-12
CAN VERSION : ---
BT Version : 3A03

I know that the Xomax XM-DA708 is now sold with Android 9.0 but the support keep saying that the headunit version is fixed and can't be upgraded.

I don't know anything on the headunits udpates etc. but what I understood (with my research on XDA and 4pda.ru) is that I have just to find a MCU update on internet that fit with my headunit (AllWinner T3 P3), put it on a SD card and install it on my device.
Because I'm scared to brick my device, I ask to this forum if :

1- Have I well understood the process ?
2- Do you have a link to a downloadable new version of MCU/Android 8.1 or 9.0 that fit with my headunit ?

Thanks in advance !

Hello,

I have put the files in a formatted SD Card (FAT32).
I start the device and introduce the SD card in the GPS slot.
But unfortunately, nothing happens (it's just saying "no music files") :(
Normally, a menu should appears...

I also tried with a USB device and tried an other SD Card slot on the device (I have 2 slots).

Do you have a solution to force the device to update on these files ?

Hello
I have the same configuration in GU only that it is Bosion 2 Din.
I have put on usb the files recommended by Ahmed68 on 4pda and the mcu files are not seen (because they are .upd files), if I change from .upd to .img it sees them but the installation stops at 7%, the os_update file installs but after restart tells me that this update is for T3 P1 and I have T3p3.
Dear Mr. Ahmed68 do you think you can help me with the installation please?
Sorry for bad language for google translation.
Thanks in advance.

If I understand well, the sun8iw11p1_KC1C01W1.zip and the mcu-201907121001KC-10-10 - 件 (2) .upd from this link : https://cobaltr4.ru/восстановление-м...из-сост/ are working without any modification.

Just put it in a SD card and it's done ?

I used this link https://yadi.sk/d/Dz9aThzMlze1ZA
and this is the result after the upgrade

Arg...
The MCU update was OK but the Android did not work.
My head unit start but I have no screen and no functionality at all any more...
I know that it's starting because the radio turned on.

Seems that it's dead now :(

Do you know if there is a method to launch directly with an android update ?

I'm wondering if anybody can help me with a way to install Android Auto on my HU.

It's a Clarion head unit with the below info:

Version:

WOS_A6_V1.00.0_6338_20170220
EB2CLS_A600D_20170220
APP_V 4.2.8_0CB6_170120
MCU_V 4.4.13_0CB6_170710

I'd really appreciate any links to firmware.

Hello ahmed,

Thank you for your answer.

One question : how am I suppose to flash by SD if I can't enter the update menu because I don't have access to the screen ?
I see this kind of screen at startup : https://www.budandtonystruckparts.c...0005602_345x-355-kenworth-bug-screen_550.jpeg

Thank you again.

APP upgrade Manual
Prepared one U disk or sd card, (Note: The SD or USB only can have one software.)
1. Update the APP, Directly Copy the file to SD or USB .Don't unzip the files.
2.Turn on the car radio, insert the USB or SD, Then it will Automatically Update
if doesn't work use Phoenixcard or PhoenixSuit

Hello, apparently, nothing happens.
I copied the os_update_KC1C0101-M01-2.0.4.1.10_20171106_143208.zip from the APP folder of one of the downloadable link and put it in a USB key.
I've tried to start up with it and plug in it after the start up.

    Hello, apparently, nothing happens.
I copied the os_update_KC1C0101-M01-2.0.4.1.10_20171106_143208.zip from the APP folder of one of the downloadable link and put it in a USB key.
I've tried to start up with it and plug in it after the start up.
