No, you can update the MCU and Android parts separately or together.

I dont know what you mean. Your unit is not an MTCB head unit, so NONE of the MTCB head units sections will help you. Try the Android Head Units section

I have a head unit with this build too. So i can flash any roms/install apks?

Just to note permanent/ ignition power were wire incorrectly for my Honda Civic, Had to swap yellow and red wires.

Also had some cracking on usb audio and cut outs on gps voice directions. Played with magic equaliser setting to resolve.

As your MCU version isn't apparently a MTCB-type version, you unfortunately shouldn't try to install any MTCB MCU or ROM, nor any MTCB app unless you want to risk bricking your HU.

Obviously not, if he cant why would you be able to ? ! Look in the Android Auto General section to try and identify your unit.

It deffo isnt due to the lack of "MTCB" in the MCU code !

I doubt an MTCB app will brick his unit, the app just wont work.

Thanks for this info and saving me some pain.

I can confirm the apps install but don't work correctly. Music app doesn't see storage other than flash and radio has no stations.

If youre talking about the unit that ISNT an MTCB unit, please post in other forums, no one here can help you as no one knows about those units.

There are no Joying or Pumpkin units, they are simply sellers.

Read the wiki - get your MCU type from settings/about same place you look for system info on any other Android device.

Write out everything in the MCU section.

If it doesn't say MTCB then you're in the wrong place.
