Res 800x480 and cpu rk30sdk?

Ok you must have the RK3066 Res 800x480
You will need to goto this thread but please read the OP Page and make sure you are happy with flashing a custom Rom. As the OP don't take responsibility if you brick your units but trust me it's a bit hard to brick them.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3246370

So you will need 4.4.4 800x460 Rk3066 rom August 2017 45.1 version

HI,

I have MTCB KLD HU 800x480 ,
after update to Android - 4.4.4 Boonoorook Tuner does not find FM station anymore.
I found somewhere here, MCU update is necessary,
my unit has acctually ver. 2.02 which is not listed on mega.nz archive upload site, 2.01 and 2.03 as next one.... that confused me a bit.
which MCU shall I flash ?
Can I flash directly 2.78 as mentioned here ?

I don´t want to brick my unit ;)

Chris

Hi I just want to validate before I upgrade my MCU . Im currently on MTCB-KLD6-2.77 with stock Kitkat rom 4.4.4 . I want to install the Malaysk 5.1.1 Rom. Whats the minimum MCU I need to do this. From @typos1 footer I can see the latest is MTCB-KLD6-2.85. Is it safe to go to this version. I haven't found anyone upgrading from MTCB-KLD6-2.77 which leads me to think it might be custom. Any thoughts before I pull the trigger. Also whats the most stable version is it always latest and greatest. Thanks in advance for your time.

Current Unit spec
• MTCB–KLD6-V2.77
• Android version: 4.4.4_11122015
• CPU : ARM- Cortex-A9 @1.6GHZ ( x4) #
• Build: RK3188-eng4.4.4 11122015.20:43:28
• RAM: 1024MB ( 1GB)
• Additional info: Its bose compatible ( don’t know if this matters ) and has integrated DAB Module.

The latest MCU is MTCC v3.06, theres also several later than the ones youve mentioned, such as MTCC KLD9 v2.98 (thats from memory, check the latest on the fileserver) which will make your unit save radio stations without the need for any other app

Back up your MCU settings by going into factory settings and pressing "export", then after changing MCUs you ll be able to restore all you MCU settings.

Theres no cut off point at which you can or cant use ROMs with, basically its best to use the latest version that you can.

Thanks guys . I read MTCB and MTCC interchangeable. But wasnt sure I should go with the MTCC one. So I should be safe to use the MTCC version on my MTCB-KLD6-2.77. I have a copy of the original MCU just incase and will do export. Will report back once I have done it all.

MTCC is an update to MTCB, so yeah its safe.

You should be able to update to MTCC, you may need to try the latest 4 or 5 MTCC MCUs from 2.97 onwards if some things dont work.

If I remember correctly the best is the one before 3.06.

One last question . Would you recommend upgrading ROM first then MCU. so you can check functionality is in with 5.1.1 rom . I would assume the MCU would work slightly different with kitkat and lollipop . Or does it not matter.

It doesnt matter which one you update first, but it youre doing both you can update them both at the same time.

Its almost always best to have the latest MCU whatever version of Android youre running.
