Anyone know a way to change the TTL this unit uses. I have tried TTL master and it says im 65 but im still slowed with wifi teather from my Iphone. I did test with my laptop off wifi teather and it was full speed so not a iphone wifi teather issue. Yes I installed a kernal that allows root access but not sure why this works with windows computer to my iphone but this headunit shows set to 65 been rebooted still shows 65 but still slow on speed test. Btw it is fine speed wise connected to my house wifi but just wanted faster speeds in the car when on the road.

Android is Linux so use the linux commands to do this from a terminal. You can find the command(s) easily when you google for it. However, this requires root access which you normally not have.
And why on earth would you want to change the TTL to improve your network speed? This is useful in case of latency and/or many hops in your route. When your unit is directly connected to your iphone, neither of those is relevant.
Your unit is slow because the network antenna is crap. This is not helped either by the fact that your unit is in the dashbard and "looking" in front to a huge amount of metal. If you want improved network speed, you better solder a better antenna on to it with a short cable and place it high in your dashboard.

Irrelevant of FYT type.
It is winter. How cold is it where you live? Does a cold boot happen more often when it is colder outside?
If so, check you car battery. Is it not too old? Does it still have enough capacity? (we mostly have older cars otherwise we would not need these units)

We get these kind of questions every winter and 9 out of 10 times it is the car battery.
Please check.

I have 2 problems and I would like to ask for help.

1. Google Maps only goes into dark mode (night) when I set a destination and launch it.
Has anyone experienced this error?

2. My car has a reversing camera and front and rear parking sensors.
At R only half of the image is visible, at 1, the entire image.
What could be the problem?
Also, why does the reversing camera give a picture in gear 1?

If im being honest it allows me to fool ver...izon into not seeing the tether and slowing the head unit down. I work from home and my internet sometimes drops and i have to swap to my visible plan to finish the day. So it even works with my desktop set to 65 ttl connected to usb. I thought it was a wifi tether thing so i used my laptop and changed its ttl to 65 and got full speed. (Teather nomrally limits me to 5mb down but with ttl 65 i can get the full 30 i get by my house.) I only use it here if my main goes down and thats not often. But wanted to see if I could get the car head unit seeing full speed. You know I some times got to down load something on it and not at home takes for ever. I think i might have to command line change it instead of use a program. I mean i had to command line change it in windows lol.

My explanation using the linux command, which you probably already knew as I googled your issue and found several hits about it, does require root.
If you want to try/proceed with this, I can only suggest you to root your unit and try it.
Or flash @mariodantas rooted, modded firmware and then try it.

No idea. I don't have an iphone and don't use carlink at all, not for AA either.
The only thing I can think off is the level of your firmware. You need a recently new firmware to work with the new carlink apk.

The built in app store(not google play store) can download updates for the Carlink2 app. Turn off bluetooth on your phone and enable personal hotspot, connect to it with your unit, then open this app store and check the updates.
I have a 14 Pro, and it connected to it wirelessly without any setup, apart from connecting to the headunit via bluetooth. Didn't change any other settings. Now I have the Carlink app on autostart and when I turn the ignition on, after 10 seconds I have CarPlay connected.

Could anyone with 360 option here tell me if they had to just connect the 4 cameras to the unit, and then opening the 360 app just worked?

I can't get a display from 360 app open unless I'm reversing.

Hi,
new here with a FYT 7862 Mekede M500 and running it with Vivid Launcher.

So far everything it is working as expected (for my needs), I only have an issue with daytime / nightime brightness that I need to switch manually.

I have succesfully removed the oem radio app and replace it with NavRadio Free (but in fact I don't listen to radio).

I wanted to thanks everyone in this thread (read it all 2 times) because a lot of the answers where already there.

Cheers mate will try that later and report back.
Overall the unit is pretty solid and feels much better than the PX5 I've used in past.

I need to do some more fine-tuning to check CANBUS is working right and maybe move GPS receiver, but otherwise it is perfect for my use case which is Android Auto.
I am planning to look at updating firmware as I think I am on 2021, plus I might look to add some more launcher skins.
One other thing on my list was to replace the 5Ghz wifi antenna - these look to have just a small stubby antenna but I am assuming it has a smaller SMA-type connector on the board since Teyes modes have a larger 5GHz external antenna to use.

No, it is soldered directly to the board, so to replace you will have to desolder the current antenna and then solder on a new board mount SMA female so you can then screw on a SMA male antenna.

Well.... a lot of people (myself included) like to use the cam as a monitor too so it really needs to be connected and powered up all the time. Yesteryear's head units only operated the rear cams in reverse but most of today's units have apps and such to take advantage of the rear cam as a monitor.
Soooo.... If you wish to use the rear cam as a monitor while driving forward then cam POWER must be connected to 12 volts any time the vehicle is running.


Pin 3 is the TRIGGER which changes the video input from what ever you have the head unit set on, to the reverse input. People kind of get this a bit confused. It's like watching a dvd on your tv... not only does your dvd player need to be plugged in and powered up so it can work, but the tv needs to be set on the DVD input as well.

Just as with the dvd player, the Cam needs power to work, and just as with the tv, the head unit needs to be on the 'rear cam input'. Pin 3 is what does that. When you feed it 12 volts, it automatically switches the head unit to the 'rear cam' input. When you remove that 12 volts the head unit goes back to what ever input it was on before.

You need to supply pin 3 with 12 volts ONLY when in reverse. It should be connected to the +12 volt side of the reverse light. At the same time your cam has to have 12 volts to operate.

I'm curious, anyone here with reverse camera (or 360), if you wanted to be able to monitor the rear view camera not just when in reverse (powered off reversing light) but also at any other time, is there a separate power input that's needed?

Actually i don't get that 360 screen anymore and in the setting i don't see it, the only option i have is Defualt only that is shown and no other option to check, i have canbus

Which i am not sure how to st it up in the vehicle settings because it's not listed, but when i first installed the unit i used to get the 360 screen and the floating button for it but after the radio reset it's all gone.
