Could you also share the HDMI360 apk they sent you in case anyone needs it in future?

If it were me I would be tempted to try a (very) temporary fix (not with solder) to check if bridging those 2 sets of pins fixes the issue. If it does give audio then I'd hand my unit in to a local repair shop that I'm familiar with as that's too small a fix for my DIY soldering kit and my skills.

A bit late as I am far from an expert on HDMI (input) on these units, but you were discussing some HDMI apk. Did you not mean an lcdconfig for HDMI?
It's a dedicated apk for playing the HDMI in source. They finally sent him it (he confirms a few posts ago). You can see in the video the app is named HDMI1.

I don't think so (No expert either), it's an app on screen that simply allows you to switch the unit to the HDMI Input. Will be posting what they sent in a moment...

Sure... They sent me two APK files, I'll attach them here. The first one wouldn't install because it was already on the system, the actual HDMI APK did install & works fine for video, but no audio.

I suppose I could try connecting all the essentials on my workbench & try crossing the contacts to see if the fix actually works, will let you know the results later. Have to take it out the car again, been out earlier with the kids so had to plumb it back in.

Not that I should have to (it should work out the box) but I'm willing to go to reasonable lengths to try getting it working, but before I do I need to be assured that if anything goes wrong they'll still cover it under warranty. If some bloke at the local phone shop can do it for under 30 quid, great, in my eyes that's covered by the refund for the Fake Android 12 issue. I'm still sure it could be fixed with software though, as I would definitely have noticed no audio when I initially tested it. The box model label says "+HDMI" and the unit itself says "+HDMI" so any mod needed should have already been done.

Aliexpress have also refused my appeal on the missing item (HDMI Output), even though it's clear in my unboxing video that it wasn't there, they say I've not provided enough evidence. I've filed a claim with paypal.

Ok, yet another couple of hours spent taking my dash apart & fiddling with this Mekede unit. I can confirm the mod does actually work... 90% ish....

I set it up on my bench & got my hoppo to use a tiny screwdriver to cross each pair of contacts while I operated the front of the unit. Very damn fiddly. He's got good eyesight & still needed to borrow my glasses to see what he was doing :)

It seems each pair is for one channel of audio, so crossing both gives stereo. No sparks, it still works, so all good. The reason I say 90%ish is because I decided to check everything while it was out of the car, and I found it doesn't work as it should with the built in spatializer, as in the balance to left or right, front to rear. All other apps do (radio, stock music, musicolet, vlc), this just gives stereo sound balanced all round regardless of other settings, so the mod still isn't perfect.

I'd be happy with it, and may now take it to someone with the capability to get it done, provided their insurance will cover the unit if they f it up. Would also be nice if Mekede would cover the cost, but as I said previously, they already kinda have with the refund for their fake Android 12 claim.

Great result! I'm glad you're on your way to getting the HDMI input working.
I'm sure sharing an the details will help others in the future.

You can force it to install as a flashable zip. Perhaps someone will download the com.syu.ms and make it in to a flashable zip for you or I could do it later this evening.

Thanks for sharing the files and so quickly.
Would that be needed though? I don't know whether it's an update to the existing one on the system, but now that I've confirmed the mod they show in the video does actually work, unless it fixes the spacializer issue I don't think it's worth messing with any further.

That's why I'm posting in detail & providing what files I can. So far after a week on google & this forum, it seems I'm the only one who's had this issue. All was fine until the factory reset, why it now needs a hardware mod is beyond me.

On one hand, Mekede have been a pain in the ass to deal with. Once response a day, usually without understanding the issue, it seems they use a cheat sheet for standard responses in English for common problems. They didn't get to grips with this until it went through the Dispute stage with Aliexpress. On the other hand, since then they have provided a working fix with clear video instructions, even though your average Joe would have no chance of doing it, and in all honesty, shouldn't need to for something they've paid for that should work out the box.

It's a bank holiday, may have a few drinks to steady the hands, put three pairs of glasses on and have a go meself later :)

Next post could be full of tears :(

Not now no. It would only have been worth updating if you weren't going to try the mod or the mod didn't work.

That's not an error I've ever seen before.
I shared exactly what Mekede uploaded to the nutstore.

Perhaps try copying the files again or use another sd card?
Yes sir. That did the trick and happy to report all issues are solved execpt for a minor annoyance, the video displayed from the video app looks like if it was zoomed but there is no settings to change withing the video app

Watch the other thread where you asked the same question. That has already the answer.

Hi guys,

I have gone through the whole thread hoping to fine answer to my question but it seems I am o my own.

I bought the Navifly M500S 4G 64G with the ADAS DVR front and rear double recording camera. Unfortunately, it arrived with no manual or instruction. As this will be my second HU and camera installation, I felt it will be as straightforward as my first. I was wrong!

Everything seems to work fine after installation. The front and back camera are recording okay when viewed the HD DVR app is opened. However the reverse camera does not come up on screen when gear is moved to reverse. But when I hook up the red CAM 12V wire with the brown BACK wire, the reverse camera displays even in packed mode and will not allow you to do anything else on the HU. Nothing happens when the red wire on the RCA cable is connected to the red CAM 12V or the brown BACK wire.

With my limited knowledge, I am thinking this may have to do with the wire connection required since the DVR front and rear recording camera are kind on linked together before going into the HU. I may be wrong but having asked for help from the customer support since a month now with no real help forthcoming, other than willingness to reply every message and repeating obvious opinions, I found myself here.

I just need help in knowing how to connect the reverse camera so that it displays on the HU when the gear is shifted to reverse.

Thanks in advance.

Just a heads-up/warning... as of a couple weeks ago, my m700s just spontaneously started to destroy every USB drive plugged into it. I lost $300 worth of USB hardware before I finally figured out what was going on. Proceed with caution on these cheaply developed and manufactured Chinese units.
Fortunately I had rewired the oem usb socket of my car to the unit for full integration, I think the issue is in the poor harness that come with these unit.

    Looks like the fan power.
To tell the truth, that is what i supposed and connected it to the only fitting connector on when of the wire harnesses coming out of the device, BUT my fan never turns on, sooooo maybe im wrong.
As well as connecting the fan to the harness you also have to switch it on in the UI. In Settings go to Device/Sound/Amp OnOff set to On to have the fan on. Looks like there isn't proper integration for the fan so they just use the switchable amp power output to drive the fan.

    Very clear, many thanks.
Only one more question, navifly models seems doen't have cooling fan in the back. Is it suggested to have it or not?
It is definitely suggested especially if you live in (sub-)tropical areas. The fan is really quite and keeps the temperature about 20 degrees lower (in my case).

And with regard to "UI looks different": I just created a modded firmware based on the latest Mekede in combination with the latest core/kernel I could find, that contains all 11 launchers that are available for the several FYTs around. I currently use Nova Launcher. My current Mekede firmware (build date 18 September 2021) contains 3 launchers: 2 of them look very nice, but that is only eye candy. Real functionality is not so great. I will simply test all 11 and might get back to Nova again. I will also test if my modded firmware is "sharable". I know simply how to overcome issues, so I want to test first.

I also use something else than the "twipe_all" or "twipe_data", that removes everything (all) or all data including your 3rd party installed apps including their settings. And only because FYT still doesn't have a good update protocol for their own apps after 6+ years.
My "post upgrade" action is only removing all FYT related data/cache/profiles.
But first test if that really works ;)

Excuse me for the little OT. By connecting a smartphone to the Navifly/Mekede with Bluetooth and sharing the address book with it, does it remain in memory with the device? That is, let me explain better, if another smartphone is connected will it have access to the address book of the first smartphone?
Hello there. I've already test it. Me and my girlfriend usually travel together so I have to choose between her phone and mine (FYT unit only connects to 1 phone at a time). So she's connected and all her contacts appear (and I store it) and as soon as I connect my phone the list is swapped and I cannot see her list anymore.
It's a good thing. And other fact is that the unit first pairing is always to the last paired phone during switch off (assuming that that phone bluetooth is enabled).

I finally received my Mekede uis7862 unit for my Octavia 2015, but it doesn't fit correctly. It needs to be pushed in and "click" tight. That is the system VW/Skoda/Seat/Audi use after 2013. That doesn't work and therefore it can easily fall out of the dashboard.
I did a test drive this afternoon and as such the unit functions fine, but the fact that it is completely loose and can fall out of the dash is an extreme annoyance after having waited so long.

EDIT: And the 5GHz WiFi reception is a big deception. I have to park my car almost inside my nearest WiFi Mesh AP, while I have a perfect MESH WiFi network.
