It has the general volume setting there you can adjust the types of volumes like GPS, radio, Bluetooth etc. I just can't tell you how to access this setting because I'm at work right now.

And there is in the Settings app: Device -> Sound -> Power Conditioning (absolute output volume from 0 to 60, all other audio settings are relative; if you think your audio is already too loud at position 5 (or so), you can decrease the absolute volume output here which means that Volume 5 is now lower ))

So friend of this radio and different and is not 60 the maximum, see the attached image. The volume is still weak..

Thanks for the answer. It was louder, really. I was using microphone since 2021 for calls all the time, google search, maps, a few assistants, etc. After the last update (Aug 2022 and Nov 2022, I have tried) none of those works with microphone. In BT calls it listens nothing and in other apps it is very weak...

I have found a solution with my microphone that worked very weak after the 2022 update on my 2021 7862 unit. I couldn't go back to the older update that worked, it needed an lsec6315update file newer than 7/2022. So I made tests with my older (11/2021) AllAppUpdate.bin. I ended up with a .bin file tha uses all newer apps together with a few old vital-apps that make my microphone work as it did.
Neither the switch in Factory settings nor the config.txt settings change anything, except this hack.

The issue now is on my Bluetooth Speaker volume, when making calls it comes very weak. All other volumes use a global level and equalizer setting, when making calls it uses it's own settings. In order to hear normally I need to have it in high levels, almost 30. Before all those 2022 updates I used the same calls speaker level to 10-13.
I have noticed that all music is a bit lower than 11/2021 update, but this is not a problem because music and navi comes almost at same levels, something that wouldn't happen before (navi was lower than music, although I had it set in loud mode). I also notice that in factory settings there are Volume Balance options but none of these do nothing except Music. All other levels change nothing. Trying to increase persist.btspk.gain=7 in config.txt changes nothing.
Any ideas on this? Is there a way to enable Volume Balance Settings or set speaker gain in a file?

What CANbus setting do you use. Some come with a HI and LO version, where the only difference is really the audio output.
Now that these power conditioning is in the Settings, these Hi/LO CANbus configs are disappearing, but you might still try.

- radio volume doesn't lower when navigation is speaking although I have enabled "GPS Mix" and set Sound mixing scale to max 20; I've also set Volume balance settings and set radio to 0 there and all others to max; I'm using Waze as my navi app; navi sound is just played over radio a bit louder; using stock radio app

- is there a way to sort contacts once synced from mobile phone? They are sorted ok on my mobile phone but on head unit they are not (we are using diacritic letters)

- how can I check which version of FW I'm using and if there is a newer one? I'm guessing I should look HERE and select 7862/9" 10" ; I tried to sign up for download but I keep getting strange error

- I also noticed every time I start my car, radio is playing and that's ok but I can't change radio stations using my steering wheel buttons UNLESS I first open radio app. If I set radio app as start up app it will start in full screen and I don't want that

Yes waze is selected as main navi app.
EDIT: solved! Sound mixing scale needs to be LOWERED. I set it to 3 and it works like a charm.

Well sometimes radio doesn't start up automatically and I think it's when radio wakes up from complete shutdown (car not started in 48h hours ). What do you mean "use the SWC buttons"? I did configure my steering wheel buttons and they do work but only when I open radio app after boot. After that I can go back to launcher main screen or any other app and buttons will work for radio station change.

I never dealt with any of these update as I'm a new comer (unit bought in December) but since the beginning my BT volume is lower than anything else, I need to crank the unit to level 30 (max volume) when on call to hear the caller.
Also the incoming calls melody is way louder than anything when I'm listening to usb/streaming/youtube, it just blast my hear anytime (can't lower this into the settings).

So when someone call me, I need to lower the volume to avoid that loud melody, check who is calling, then answer (if I wish to), raise the volume to the maximum to hear the caller.
Of course I already played with the mixing board but can't solve this issue.

I agree, this happens on my unit too, using update from November 2022. As an older owner I faced the microphone volume issue after the update August 2022. Before that, Bluetooth calls were working properly. I used the older AllAppUpdate.bin and microphone works. As the BT speaker volume worked better in older firmware updates (2021) I suppose something in newer makes it lower, just like the microphone. Maybe a configuration in a file, as none of the settings menu fixes that. Factory settings for volume balance do not work for anything else except music.
I also noticed that music (eg radio) was a little louder with the older 2021 update, than the newer, for the same volume level. This is not an issue as Navi in older update was lower than music and now is better, but I suppose with the same way it was configured from a setting or file, it maybe can fix the BT speaker volume. All gain settings in config.txt failed, nothing made any change. Alternatively if there is a way to activate volume balance settings, it could be a solution to gain the BT speaker.

Hi,
new here with a FYT 7862 Mekede M500 and running it with Vivid Launcher.

So far everything it is working as expected (for my needs), I only have an issue with daytime / nightime brightness that I need to switch manually.

I have succesfully removed the oem radio app and replace it with NavRadio Free (but in fact I don't listen to radio).

I wanted to thanks everyone in this thread (read it all 2 times) because a lot of the answers where already there.

You can solve the automatic switch between day and night with tasker. It´s not the best solution but it works.

I have a Mekede M600s and just finished a fresh install of stock firmware, then installed MD edition, with upgrade bundle 1 & 2.

Im trying to disable some system apps but the Disable option is greyed out. Is there a particular way to do this on MD edition firmware?
