Media Storage issue on Android 9.0

I recently updated my XZ Premium to Android 9.0 and noticed that when I restart my phone, it would seem like the SD card only mounts after you unlock your phone. Media stored on either the internal or external storage would only appear in the media apps (Sony's Album, Music and Videos) app after it scans it for media which is kinda annoying if you have a large library. Furthermore, music on the play queue gets reset to only include those in the internal memory. This did not happen on Android 8.0

Is there any way to fix this or is this a known bug on Sony's firmware?

Happens to me too. I am using WallpaperChanger with the library on my SDCard and it takes a while after reboot to be able to load them.

It seems to me every time the phone reboots it rebuilds the entire media storage on Android 9.0
