Mesh back cover

I received mine today, although cannot take pictures since I need something other than my Atrix to do that. But, it fits in car dock with the small plate on the dock removed. It is a tight fit but it fits and the clamp closes, unlike the Incipio case. Just because of that this instantly became my favorite case.

that is great news ... i want some sort of case on mine but i use my car dock on a daily basis ... would enjoy a photo when you have the opp to take one.

if you follow the instructions in the rugged battery door thread/ contact motorola you can get a replacement plate cover which allows for the extra thickness for all docks. they sent me 2 and i am highly pleased. got one of these in white and boy is it slick.

edit: if you're looking for a case that really protects and still fits in docks the rugged battery doors are really nice. people seem to be 50/50 really love or hate about the things but i love mine. (i switch cases alot to prevent phone ADD)

how does it make it different than removing the insert? Does it replace the whole stand/dock base?

It replaces the insert with one with a wider groove for the phone to sit in. When you just remove the insert to use a case the dock not only looks ugly; you give up the support provided (that keeps the phone propped up) and put a lot of stress on the ports on the phone.

also with the cheapness of one of these you can just order another battery door for if you mess yours up.

Pictures in the car dock

Here are the pictures with the car dock. To fully close the top clamp on the dock, I had to remove the rubber strip right under the clamp. This makes it possible to close the clap fully but it is a VERY tight fit and opening the clamp is a bit hard, sometimes literally prying the case from the phone.

i bought the mesh cover which #0 listet but i cant get the volume buttons to fit. anyhelp? what did you guys do?

the only thing this cover did a good job at was scratching my phone pretty bad when i took it out of the cover, due to the fact that it has sharp roundings..

ruggedized plate cover, it looked like it would fit in the normal one but i didnt fully try, just was leaned forward a bit more.

it's plastic, however its very smooth and grip is good to the point where it feels like its lightly rubber coated.

Mine came in a week and a half, but I ordered another batch and just got an email from the seller saying that black ones are currently out of stock and it will add roughly a week to get it.

2 1/2 week wait, it was kinda funny i ordered a similar case for my galaxy tab a few days later but it arrived wayyyyy faster (1 week).

Got mine yesterday. Doesn't quite fit... the volume keys don't line up with the cutout, making it impossible to fit this thing on the phone properly and completely. Good thing it only cost $2.

Who did you order from? I've noticed there are different eBay sellers. I hope they're different cases but probably not. I guess I'll have to cut it myself if it doesn't quite fit.
