Having root means you can run apps like Titanium backup, which is a big help. Had corruption of a registered app- it told me it was not registered. Without having to do anything more than going into TiBu, & restoring a diff backed-up version, I was back in business as a regiseered user.

Less time than to delete & re-download fm PlayStore & didn't need to be conneoted &/or use data… Many other apps that will give you a lot of functionality & add robustness, like System Panel - which gives more helpful info if rooted, Cache Mate, Clock Sync- which hooks you up to atomic clock & corrects system time- fixing time drift & much more if you get into many system-enhancing apps like Tasker, which while they are more involved & a bit complex, can automate muqh for you like turning on/off wi-fi & more based on location.

Of course the msg comes up bc of diff recovery- TWRP, which gives ability to make total system image backups… That msg takes 5 seconds & allows you access to recovery mode & ability to flash lots of goodies. You can cut that time short by pressing power button- I have a # of widgets which increase boot time to completion. 5-7 seconds for that screen you mentioned & the rest of the boot screen processes, & just over a minute for all my widgets all together… (holding hands palms-up in front of me, raising & lowering, as in weighing loss & benefits- 5-7 seconds extra for the screen you mentioned & under a minute for other stuff like widgets (known to take more time).

Your choice. Good luck w/your U11, it's a great phone & can do even more for you rooted. Lose that screen, by re-locking bootloader & you lose root. At least for now. Unlocking bootloader allows you to install that diff recovery & that gives you that screen & the ability to root , up to your personal use & preferences.
